O2 sensor controversy again26 Apr 2006 17:30 GMT9
The question of whether an O2 sensor can be bad enough to cause drivability
or fuel economy problems without triggering OBDII codes has another data
point.
In the alt.autos.subaru forum somebody asked for help sorting out very
Used Civic or new Fit?26 Apr 2006 16:48 GMT99
My 2002 Saturn was a casualty in the Tennessee tornadoes last Friday.
I'm looking for something reliable, inexpensive, and fuel-efficient,
with manual transmission, under $15,000.
Saturn seems to have given up on fuel-efficiency and most of the other
Six-Speed + i4:  Why not?26 Apr 2006 12:52 GMT14
I really love this engine, and think that an LX or EX in this
configuration would be a welcome addition for Honda.  With the bump
in horsepower for the i4 in 2006, I'm not sure I know what I'd do
with the horsepower in the v6.

Resonable Price Selling OEM Civic SE Rims/Tires.26 Apr 2006 08:12 GMT2
I'm selling four OEM SE rims with Bridgestone Potenza tires- 195/60 R15's-
with 5K on them.  My teenage son got itchy to impress the girls so I let him
buy some nice 18" rims and tires with his money, of course.  I like his choice,
btw.

I have a number of songs as mp3s on CDs but my 99 honda civic has only
a regular audio cd player. Can I use my discman and some kind of
adapter (or any other way) and the existing audio system in my car to
play these mp3 cds?

Bad wheel bearing or tire?26 Apr 2006 03:55 GMT8
Whenever I get up to a speed of 35 m.p.h. or more with my 98' Accord, a
vibration and corresponding bumping noise begins. This noise is very rapid
sounding even at slower speeds. I can get on up to roughly 65 m.p.h. and the
noise continues. If I slightly turn the wheel to the ...
igniter26 Apr 2006 03:21 GMT5
Is it possible to have an igniter failed without a code 15 or any fault
codes?
My 1991 honda civic won't start and suspect an igniter, but there's no
fault codes
A Good Item For The Civic Hybrid26 Apr 2006 02:17 GMT5
I hate to admit it, but my son, the car enthusiast was right.  I have an 05
civic hybrid with about 4600 miles on it.  And although it runs reasonably
well, I still felt it could use a little help in its quest to drive like a
"real" car.  I just installed a K&N air filter, and ...
Tire issues25 Apr 2006 21:42 GMT5
My '93 Accord has been exhibiting significant vibrations and even some
shimmying as of late, especially at highway speeds.  The vibrations were
slight last fall, and rotating the tires did not help.  When I had the
winter tires on it this past winter, the vibrations were ...
Honda Accord 1999 Engine stalls while slowing down25 Apr 2006 18:34 GMT15
Hi, I have had my 1999 Accord coupe EX stall twice within one week. It
stalls while I am slowing down to a stop. After the first time, I read
on the internet about a recall for the Ignition switch for 99 Accords.
Unfortunately when I called Honda Canada, it was determined that my ...

I've lurked around this group for a while, and have found it very
interesting and useful. Thanks to all those who've left helpful info in

Is Honda's Dual Pump fluid fine for older cars?25 Apr 2006 18:02 GMT6
I've always used Dexron II and Dexron III AT fluid (like the factory manual
calls for) in my '88 Accord and I've never had any shifting problems to speak
of....even after 239,000 miles. I'm seriously thinking about using the Dual
Pump fluid the next time since it has additional ...
