How can u   read diagnostic troubles codes on a  2002  honda crv ex
4x4  manually / without a scan tool. i also need a list of the trouble
codes.

I picked up a bottle of Max-1 power steering fluid for Hondas.  Anyone know
if this is the same thing?

Just took home a new CR-V LX.  Need a roof rack.  Dealer wanted almost
$400 installed.  I know the retail is $262 for the genuine item
(08L02-S9A-102), and they go for a little over $200 online, with
shipping.

I have an 06 Accord V6 on which I had my Honda dealer install XM
radio.  They mounted the antenna inside the rear windshield (which is
tinted) on the area behind the rear seats and adjacent to the trunk.
The XM seems to lose the signal much more frequently than an old

The shift indicator light that is between the tacometer and spedometer
on the dash flashes when in drive or reverse (the D4 light). Does
anybody know what my problem is? Thank you.

A short while back I posted a statement to the effect that my use of K&N
filters boosted mileage and performance in my two new Honda cars (civic
hybrid and Element both 05).  After putting about 5000 miles on the
Element's filter, I took it out for an inspection. It was filthy!!! ...

When your going up a hill and kicks her in, the RPM"s go waaaaaaaay up. Then
when to slack off on the gas, she's ok.

Could the rough idling on my 99 civic DX be caused by a bad ground?  It
runs rougher every time I turn on an electric device such as the
headlights or even the automatic door locks, however the radio does not
seem to effect it (separate ground??).  Does anyone know a good website

1998 V6 Accord Coupe.  Single Disc OEM in-dash.  Never a problem.
Then, gradually in retrospect, the CD player won't play.  Just an
attempt, 5-20 seconds of silence while trying then No Disc (I think it
says that).  Radio is fine.  Typical?  I think so.  Recommendations?

this 97 accord was down to 19-20mpg this winter from 23-24 last fall. I
thought it was oxygenated fuel. Then I took it to dealer last month who
changed spark plugs, wires and also seals for spark plugs ( they had
some oil on them).

year; they said the struts were leaking. My question - is this due to the
age of the car?  I know things don't last forever but the mileage is low and
this car has been pampered.

I have a 91 civic and the clutch is very hard to operate. A couple of
times the gear wouldnt shift and I have had to put th eblinkers and
keep trying and finally it would. Can anyone tell me if I need a new
gear/clutch system and if so the costs I would incur? Its a manual
