I have a 92 Civic CX(1.5 8v), swapped to a 93 Civic EX (1.6VTEC). The car runs like a champ on the lower cam, but as I top out vtec about 1000rpm before revlimit (7100 I think...) it starts to pop and skip, and my tach jumps like crazy. I unhooked the tach and it is less ...

'99 Civic vs Accord04 May 2006 00:13 GMT4
I am thinking about a '98-99 Civic or Accord. What are their pros/cons
Civic appears to be easier to service with more room in the engine bay.
That is important.
Is the VTEC technology reliable long term? What years did not have it?

Check Engine Light, P1253, wierd shifting03 May 2006 21:58 GMT7
Good Morning All,
My Check Engine Light came on last night. Error code was P1253. Also
noticed that when I'm on the highway and I go to accelerate, the engine
feels like it downshifts, the RPMs increase, but it does not go any
MPG difference with different gas?03 May 2006 17:12 GMT14
I used to think that there could not possibly be any significant difference
in MPG from one gas brand to another. However I now do seem to be noticing
a difference.
When I use 76 Gasoline from my local gas station in Milpitas California I
Can I get my money back?03 May 2006 16:18 GMT69
Last night I went into a Honda dealer and agreed to purchase  a new car.  I
really wanted to pay at most $300 a month, over 5 years, but the dealer said
that would not be possible because of the overall cost of the car.The initial
quote the dealer gave me was $395 a month for 5 ...
steel belted radial tires. What are they?03 May 2006 15:49 GMT7
Hi every one!
I had read one article today related to "saving on gas" at www.about.com,
they mentioned that steel belted radial tires could help me to save about 10%
on gas. I have no idea what these tires are.
Difficult CV Axle installation03 May 2006 13:28 GMT5
I'm installing a drive axle for the first time in my '88 Acura Legend.
I can easily engage the splines of the inboard end of the axle into
the transaxle, but I can't get it to seat the last 3/4" or so to
engage the locking clip. Everything I see says don't hammer on these
New Civic mileage -- update03 May 2006 12:02 GMT6
Reviving an old thread that I couldn't locate anymore:
06 Civic now at around 3,000 miles -- last two tanks, almost 35 and
almost 37 mpg respectively.  Up from about 29 when it was new.
I'm sure the switch to summer fuel made a substantial difference.  It
2006 Civic Stereo03 May 2006 07:06 GMT7
I just purchased a stripped down 2006 Civic DX with no stereo. Any
suggestions on the best stereo to put in there? One which doesn't
require a miracle to get it installed? Ideally I'd like to install it
myself but not if I have to fabricate brackets, etc.
