I have a CIVIC 2002 EX that I think is in need of a changeing of the CV joint in the frontend. Just wondering where you folks might find the best deals on them and are you using OEM, or generic re-manufactored shafts? Any other suggestions?

I'm a Honda driver, but my wife and family loves Toyotas so after I sold my Honda Civic HX I bought a Toyota Corolla while my sis got a Toyota Camry V6. Horrible. Many problems and the cost of fixing is ridiculous after warranty expired.

Seems like every few years Honda will produce Civic HX, and then drop it almost as immediately as they roll them out. Why? I love the CVT transmission and the fuel efficient VTEC they have. What gives? Are they not selling?

Anyone have any real world numbers for their 2006 Civic fuel mileage? The brochure says 8.2L/100km city and 5.7L/100km highway. I'm averaging 9.2 ('06 Civic LX - A/T). I even changed my driving habits to try and conserve fuel.
