I own a 2001 Prelude. I started getting "bad egr valve" code from my car's computer. I bought a mew egr valve ($180) and light came back on same code. I have a friend that is a mechanic at my local Honda dealership. He told me to drill to remove 4 melal plugs from the intake

I just bought some Bosch Platinum plugs for my CR-V (2003) at a good price. ($13.58 CD for 4) I know the manual recommends NGK. Is it okay to put the Bosch Platinum, or will I be disappointed? Also, when should plugs be changed? (I have 48,000 KMs on it.)
