Speaking of Hondas in Houston...18 Aug 2006 00:44 GMT10
Can anyone recommend a good independent Honda shop in the northwest
Houston/Spring Branch area? I'll be moving there soon and need to find a
place to take care of my '00 Accord and '01 Odyssey. I'm willing to pay a
little more for work I can trust.
1999 CRV missing tire pressure sticker17 Aug 2006 19:32 GMT4
My 1999 Honda CRV is missing the sticker on the inside of the door that
tells to what pressure the tires are supposed to be inflated.  I could
not find this information in the Haynes manual I own, nor with a Google
search.  Does anyone here have that information?
92 accord idle surge17 Aug 2006 19:24 GMT3
I have a 5-speed 92 accord lx, recently converted to R-134 a/c. Now
when I run the a/c, I get an idle surge from 500 up to around 2,000
then drop back to 500, back up again. May stop after a few surges, or
keeps going until I turn the a/c off. I have read about several
dipstick tube17 Aug 2006 17:15 GMT17
I'm right in the middle of changing the timing belt on my daughter's 98
Civic (VTEC).  The job is going pretty well as I did my 95 Civic's timing
belt this past spring.  I'm trying to not destroy the oil dipstick tube
which must be removed on the 98 to be able to remove the lower ...

My '92 Honda Civic HB has been having trouble starting in hot weather.  I

96 Accord Hydraulic Clutch problem17 Aug 2006 15:50 GMT3
My 96 Accord has a slow leak in the hydraulic clutch system somewhere.  The
Haynes manual tells me there are only 3 parts to the system, the master cyl,
slave, and the hydraulic hose (metal pipe) in between.  When I look at the
car it is more complicated.  The metal hydraulic line ...

1989 Accord Outer CV Joint17 Aug 2006 13:12 GMT5
I need to replace the right outer CV joint on my 89 Accord DX.  I have a
new part.  The shop manual on the car states to not disassemble the
outer CV joint from the driveshaft and does not offer any other
details.  I have replaced outer CV joints on other cars and they are

89 civic si17 Aug 2006 05:54 GMT11
My SI makes some engine noise between 2500-3200 rpms. When you step on
the gas, its like a knocking sort of sound. I thought that i might be
the pipe for the exhaust has rusted and popped  a hole.  The car  is
running on 92 octane. Something I can test on my own??
buying a civic or accord?17 Aug 2006 03:07 GMT7
Hello all, we currently have a highlander for our "family car", V6 and
AWD, which means about 18.5 -19 mpg mpg for us (UGGH)......well, gas
prices have us reconsidering its legitimacy.  We are thinking about
getting either a new Civic EX, Accord LX, SE or EX 4 cyl, or new Camry
brake squeal - (400$ -autoshope quoted.) quote too high??17 Aug 2006 01:36 GMT7
I have a 2004 Honda Accord coupe and it has about 33K miles on it.  I
had the 30 K servicing done about 3 months ago.
Couple of weeks after my 30K servicing, I started hearing the brakes
squeal - very faintly. I could only hear if there is no background
