is this noise my timing belt?15 Aug 2006 02:42 GMT4
My 2000 Honda Civic makes a slight metal on metal noise when I startup
and drive slowly. It goes away when I hit the brake.  I had the brakes
checked and they are fine. Could it be my timing belt? I'm at 80k. It
sounds like some kind of belt may be too tight or straining.

lock or unlock position.

soaked with oil. I replaced the oil pan gasket myself a while back and
it didn't solve the problem. The shop later on replaced the gasket
again with Honda parts and it didn't solve the problem either. I think
