Oil Leak - 2000 Honda Civic EX 2DR06 Aug 2006 03:01 GMT1
Have a slow engine oil drip from the transmission area near the shift cable.
Oil pan is clean, valve cover clean, PVC clean.  Leaning towards a rear main
seal, but hope not.  Any other places that would leak in this area?
Thanks, Tom
Anti-theft radio code is a scam by Honda!  Way around?06 Aug 2006 02:09 GMT14
Anyway to get around not having to pay honda's scam of $90 to get the
anti-theft code for your radio?  Replaced the battery in my car and now I
can't get the radio working unless I got the code.  I no longer live in the
area I bought it.  I have every piece of slip on this car ...
2002 Honda CR-V Brake Calipers06 Aug 2006 01:07 GMT1
I recently had to replace a rear brake caliper because it locked and
wore the pads and then proceded to cause the rotor to be destroyed.
I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the brake calipers
locking up like this.  The people taking care of the repairs could not
95 Honda Prelude S Spark Plugs: To Platinum or Not Platinum05 Aug 2006 23:06 GMT4
Should I use NGK platinum or non-platinum spark plugs in my 95 Honda
Prelude S?
I have heard mixed reviews on NGK platinum on Honda, and my dealer says
Honda does not like platinum. I am confused. Should I go for platinum
'99 Odyssey Won't Crank Over - Intermittent05 Aug 2006 19:35 GMT8
A few days ago, the van would not crank over when trying to start.  No
sound from the starter or relay either.  Had it towed to a Honda repair
shop and everything checked out OK - battery, connections, alternator,
starter, etc...  Also (of course) the van started right up for them.
Accord 2002 service question05 Aug 2006 18:31 GMT1
Should the 30K miles service be done after 30K (obvious?) or 3 years or
whichever comes first?
Thanks
TCS light in 2001 Accord Coupe EX05 Aug 2006 18:11 GMT1
The TCS light comes on especially when the car
first starts but sometimes just comes on and stays on.
The maintenance required light stays on and the check
engine light comes and goes.  Today it's off.
Off topic.05 Aug 2006 17:49 GMT9
This is an off topic question about my truck. I hope you don't mind me
tossing it out here as you guys are plenty sharp and helpful.
It's a '98 Silverado Z71, 5.7L, 4x4, K1500, automatic. I have had the truck
since it was new and it still runs great at 99,000. Yesterday all at ...

Touchy brakes on '06 Accord V605 Aug 2006 14:54 GMT9
I drove my in-law's '06 Accord (15,000 miles on odo) and I didn't like it at
all!  The brakes were SO touchy!  Also, when you lifted off the accelerator,
instead of gliding, or even having the kind of slow down you would have on a
manual transmission, it had the sort of buck that ...
A/C drain hose05 Aug 2006 01:04 GMT4
I have a 01 civic and when the A/C is on water leaks on the passenger
floor.  I took it to the dealer they said that it was clogged and the
blew it clear.  It happed again and they said it was the same problem
and that parking near trees and bushes makes the problem worse.  It
seatbelt reminder chime on 2006 accord04 Aug 2006 22:52 GMT13
Anyone have any luck disabling the seatbelt reminder on a 2006 Accord? Can I
unplug the sensor under the seat without setting off a code?
91 Accord Transmission Control Unit -- component replacement04 Aug 2006 21:15 GMT9
I removed the automatic transmission control unit from my '91 accord
and opened it up.  The capacitor marked C32 which is a 330uf 10v
electrolytic has failed and leaked electrolyte onto the board nearby,
giving it a black appearance.  Also the resistor marked R41 is burnt.
best time of year to buy new Accord04 Aug 2006 20:37 GMT6
Already seeing ads on tv and getting mail from dealers that it's
"clearance time", but isn't it still early for that?
I guess no big changes are due for the Accord (EX Sedan I4) this year,
so don't expect any big discounts on remaining stock.
