| Oil Leak - 2000 Honda Civic EX 2DR | 06 Aug 2006 03:01 GMT | 1 |
Have a slow engine oil drip from the transmission area near the shift cable. Oil pan is clean, valve cover clean, PVC clean. Leaning towards a rear main seal, but hope not. Any other places that would leak in this area? Thanks, Tom

Anyway to get around not having to pay honda's scam of $90 to get the anti-theft code for your radio? Replaced the battery in my car and now I can't get the radio working unless I got the code. I no longer live in the area I bought it. I have every piece of slip on this car ...

I recently had to replace a rear brake caliper because it locked and wore the pads and then proceded to cause the rotor to be destroyed. I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the brake calipers locking up like this. The people taking care of the repairs could not

| '99 Odyssey Won't Crank Over - Intermittent | 05 Aug 2006 19:35 GMT | 8 |
A few days ago, the van would not crank over when trying to start. No sound from the starter or relay either. Had it towed to a Honda repair shop and everything checked out OK - battery, connections, alternator, starter, etc... Also (of course) the van started right up for them.

The TCS light comes on especially when the car first starts but sometimes just comes on and stays on. The maintenance required light stays on and the check engine light comes and goes. Today it's off.

| Touchy brakes on '06 Accord V6 | 05 Aug 2006 14:54 GMT | 9 |
I drove my in-law's '06 Accord (15,000 miles on odo) and I didn't like it at all! The brakes were SO touchy! Also, when you lifted off the accelerator, instead of gliding, or even having the kind of slow down you would have on a manual transmission, it had the sort of buck that ...

| 91 Accord Transmission Control Unit -- component replacement | 04 Aug 2006 21:15 GMT | 9 |
I removed the automatic transmission control unit from my '91 accord and opened it up. The capacitor marked C32 which is a 330uf 10v electrolytic has failed and leaked electrolyte onto the board nearby, giving it a black appearance. Also the resistor marked R41 is burnt.

| best time of year to buy new Accord | 04 Aug 2006 20:37 GMT | 6 |
Already seeing ads on tv and getting mail from dealers that it's "clearance time", but isn't it still early for that? I guess no big changes are due for the Accord (EX Sedan I4) this year, so don't expect any big discounts on remaining stock.
