How difficult to put old motor in new window regulator for '96 Civic?26 Aug 2006 15:16 GMT1
I've located the source of a problem I'm having with my driver's side
window.  Three teeth in the large, crescent-shaped, double-sided gear
that's part of the window regulator are fully or partially stripped.
The regulator motor seems fine.
roof top cargo carrier?26 Aug 2006 13:32 GMT2
Anyone put a rack and one of those roof mounted cargo boxes on top of
their Civic? I'd like to use the setup just once or twice a year for
camping/vacation. Obviously nothing too heavy or large.
88 Accord LX Window Motor26 Aug 2006 07:20 GMT1
There is a loud clicking noise coming from the right front window when it's
used.  When it clicks, the window stops however if you push on it, it will
continue to move.   I suspect there probably is a broken gear which maybe
causing the problem .  I've taken all the fasteners off ...
5W20 Oil for 2005 Honda Element26 Aug 2006 01:49 GMT7
Does anyone know why Honda recommends 5W30 weight of oil. When I went to
have the oil changed the guy who has been doing the changes told me that
this would be a special order.
What if any are the implications of using plain old 10W30 weight oil.
99 Civic: Key ingnition/door open alarm question25 Aug 2006 23:39 GMT3
I have a 1999 Honda DX sedan with 73,000 miles.  It's been a very
reliable car for me, however over the last few months I've encountered a
problem that is more of an annoyance than anything, but now the problem
is constant and extremely annoying.

Interior Cleaning25 Aug 2006 20:20 GMT4
I purchased a 2006 Civic EX last Spring and the dust and pollen is
building on the dash.  Anyone have any ideas for cleaning the interior
of their car without making it look like an Armor All white wash?

1996 Accord ABS disable25 Aug 2006 17:07 GMT8
Searched google and this group and couldn't find out how to do it. If I
missed it, feel free to link me to a spot that describes how.
I know the pros and cons of disabling ABS. Please don't preach about
why doing so is dangerous, etc.

Nissan Altima 2007 vs. Honda Accord 200725 Aug 2006 06:53 GMT3
I am struggling with a choice of either buying a new Honda Accord EX
2007 or wait 1 month and buy a redesigned Nissan Altima 2007 S that
looks awefully cute:

97 Civic EX vibration at 70 mph ?25 Aug 2006 06:04 GMT7
I had a problem like this a few years ago and I replaced the rotors
(generic) and breakpads (original) and the problem went away. I noticed that
the vibration was showing up again in the last 2 years. I took it to the
dealer and they recommended a break job ($189) and rotor if ...
Wheel Shimmy on 05' Civic25 Aug 2006 02:55 GMT2
After having my tires rotated, I'm experiencing a shimmy starting at a little
over 40mph and maxing out around 50. Of course, I take it to Pep Boys (bad
move right off the bat), for a balance and actually watch the mechanic do it.
Well, the steering wheel still wobbles and PB ...
Changing the air filter on a 2005 Civic Si24 Aug 2006 21:00 GMT4
I'm not much of a car mechanic but changing air filters was never that hard
in other cars I've owned. Looking at my 2005 Civic Si it seems to be
slightly complicated.
Has anyone replaced one of these filters or have any tips on how to do it?
