Plastic vs. aluminum radiator08 Sep 2006 03:28 GMT16
I need a new radiator in my 90 Accord (155K) -- ridiculous leak and I'd
just rather put something new in than mess around with
patching/welding. I've been reading through a lot of radiator
replacement discussions in here and given the amount of time I've

About a week ago, I noticed that when I was climbing a hill at around
60 mph, the transmission was slipping a little bit. It seems like it is
trying to downshift to third, but I wasn't giving it enought throttle

1999 Honda Odyssey engine dies while driving07 Sep 2006 23:34 GMT4
Our 1999 Honda Odyssey (96,000 miles) has a problem that has the
dealership tech guys somewhat baffled. Recently, we were driving our
van when all the lights on the dash flickered, the engine died and the
green Key light comes on and stays on. We had to put the van back into

My trusty car (210,000) miles, and has never been in the shop, died
while I was driving on the freeway the other day.  I had it towed, I
told the mechanic I thought it was the distbutor.  It turns out it was.
He turned out to be a real crappy mechanic.  He left one bolt off of my

stop. The tire has been removed and the mechanic says it's ok.
voltage fluctuations?07 Sep 2006 01:44 GMT4
I've been noticing what I'm guessing is the result of some kind of
voltage fluctuation.  At first the only symptom of this was when I was
driving highway speeds at night the lights (headlight and dashboard)
would kind of flare up a little brighter intermittently.  More

"Check Engine" light: is it scheduled?06 Sep 2006 17:39 GMT3
I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX.  It is close to 109,000 miles.  I had
the timing belt done at 75,000 miles and the 105,000 mile service
done at a garage that specializes in Hondas, but is not affiliated
with any dealership.  Yesterday, the "Check Engine" light came on
Timing belt change for my 1996 Accord06 Sep 2006 15:48 GMT9
I finally changed the timing belt for my 1996 Accord LX this past
weekend.  With Honda manual, I still made a small mistake.  Had to redo
it to realign balance shaft belt.  Learned a few lessons/tips, I would
like to share with first time timing belt DIY.
