| No early first oil change | 26 May 2007 15:02 GMT | 28 |
I've got a new Accord and my custom when buying a new car has always been to change the oil at about 1000 miles. No doubt that's a hold over from the bad old days when you had to get the metal chips and debris deposited during the sloppy engine manufacturing process out of there ...

| 96 accord stuck in park | 26 May 2007 12:05 GMT | 2 |
My girlfriend's 96 accord is stuck in park. She can use the shift lock to release it and put it in neutral to start it and use it that way. I can't find it (the switch) in the Chilton's online do-it- yourself manual.

| 1996 Accord stereo replacement - guide? | 26 May 2007 12:04 GMT | 3 |
I have a stereo I'd like to put into my Honda Accord. (It's a double DIN Clarion.) Is there a guide or FAQ on how to do this yourself? (Yeah, I'm too cheap to buck up the $75 at Best Buy.) Is there a stereo group better than r.a.m.h to ask on?

| Major Service Intervals for '94 Civic EX | 25 May 2007 22:37 GMT | 29 |
I'm interested in buying a '94 Civic EX sedan. I assume this is the 125hp motor. What is Honda's schedule for replacing the timing belt and water pump? Do dealers ever do just the belt? It was supposedly serviced and the belt replaced at 94k, now has 140k on it, and I'm not sure ...

| Brake repair problems | 25 May 2007 18:22 GMT | 4 |
I have a 98 Civic DX that I have been rebuilding for the past year. I took the car to two mechanic shops, and both stated that the brakes needed replacement, front and rear. I live in an area where the winter snow and salt cause heavy corrosion.

| linear shift solenoid goes bad too often | 25 May 2007 16:54 GMT | 11 |
I had this problem with my 1996 civic before. With an warm engine, shifting from 2 to 3 causes the engine to rev very high for fraction of a second. I took it to a Honda dealer and they said "Transmission has a flare". They asked me to replace the transmission.
