I don't want to trigger another never-ending thread, but in research for
another forum I stumbled across this essay on brake pulsations at

Biggest wheel/tire13 May 2007 15:12 GMT1
I was thinking of purchasing some rims for my 2001 civic LX coupe and
was wondering if anyone knew what the largest size of rim/tire combo
that would fit without any mods so that I know what I should be
looking for.  Thank you very much for your help.
2006 Civic Upkeep13 May 2007 06:39 GMT16
We purchased our Honda Civic this past January.  We had the dealer do
a 1,000 mile check, and we have brought it in to Jiffy Lube for oil
and filter changes and fluid checks.  I cannot figure out what the
regular maintenance schedule should be.  I used to bring our old 1998
First new car in years - what will they try to sell me?13 May 2007 06:38 GMT20
I'm intending to use Costco to buy a Civic Hybrid.  The salesman says
that the price is going to be the Invoice price ($20,789) plus
Destination and tax and license.  My recollection from buying a car
years ago is that there were a bunch of last minute decisions about
Factory recommended service intervals13 May 2007 04:47 GMT3
Just bought me a new V6 Accord sedan (EX-L trim line) -- very nice car!
The supplied MANFACTURER maintenance booklet does not list the
MANUFACTURER-recommended time/mileage intervals for various services.
However, there is a separate booklet with DEALER-recommended service

Cabin Air Filter12 May 2007 23:48 GMT14
Have a 2000 Accord V6.  Has anyone change the cabin air filter?  I know it
can get involved and am not too sure if it is a doable DIY job.  Comments.

Dealer Switched from Castol to Mobil for Oil Changes - OK?12 May 2007 19:00 GMT8
My local Honda dealer, where I get my oil changed, switched from Castrol to
Mobil oil.  Also, the paperwork and windshield sticker no longer indicate
the grade or weight (should be API service SJ "energy conserving" oil, SAE
5-30 viscosity, for my particular year and model).
Civic hesitation problem...12 May 2007 16:20 GMT16
Buddy of mine just rebuilt (with all OEM parts!) a D16A6 with PGM-FI for
his '89 Civic (including the appropriate computer and wiring harness).
Got it installed, turned the key, engine turned 3 times... and fired
right up.  Very nice.  Idles smoooooth and quiet...

Honda V6 engines and synthetic oil12 May 2007 05:12 GMT59
I plan on buying a new 2008 Accord coupe V6 to replace my aging 97
VTEC-4 Accord coupe. I am considering for this new car to maintain it
using synthetic oil and strictly use Honda stock oil filters. My 97
Accord with the 2.2l VTEC four is doing fine at 210K with Jiffy lube
Caliper sliding pin boots12 May 2007 04:46 GMT22
Howdy.
Did anyone ever have to replace the sliding pin boots on a 2003 accord
4 cyl? I need to replace all 8 of them but the dealer wants $50 for
just one side. This is a ripoff. Does anyone know where one can

I was driving my 95 civic ex down corporate blvd the other day, and i
stopped at a light. When i tried to shift into 1st, my car wouldn't go
into any gear. After a little bit of fooling with the clutch and the
shifter it finally went into gear and i drove off. About a mile later
