On several occasions, I could tell that the breaks of my Prelude were quite loose. The mechanic says I need to have the master cylinder replaced. How urgent/dangerous is this situation?

I filled up with a third of a tank - I was really empty - and as I pulled out of the forecourt noticed a loss of power. Trouble maintaining idle and intermitent load click from engine. Bad fuel?

Lately the Accord (105k) has a screeching noise when first driven - it lasts 5 seconds or so and varies with the speed of the car. Then it goes away. I guess a belt? It's overdue for a general big maintenance job. I couldn't see anything wrong with the belts. Timing belt was

The guy says that it needs 4 new struts and a right axle. He is correct. One front strut is leaking. I don't really care since I don't drive it too much. Maybe 5,000 miles per year. The struts are probably original

Ok few weeks ago I posted that my engine got hydrolocked. I took the car to my acura dealer and they were given the go ahead by my insurance to put in a used engine. A week later my car was ready for pick up, they told me the engine they put in had 40,000 miles on it.
