Mercon 5 = Honda Z1 ATF ?10 Jul 2008 01:13 GMT5
I have a 2004 Honda Civic and would like to change the ATF fluid.
The owners manual lists Honda ATF Z1, so I guess I need to go to the dealer?
I was at Walmart today and I saw Mercon V
ATF and on the bottle it mentioned that it meets Honda Z1

The noise made by my 1999 Accord LX (4 cyl 5-speed 192,500 miles) has been
diagnosed as rear wheel bearings.  This has been going on for a few months.
Do I need to worry about repairing soon or will the noise get worse before
the hub unit completely fails?  Will driving at ...

'07 Civic Si - Throttle reflash?08 Jul 2008 14:43 GMT11
Does anyone have any idea when they are going to have the reflash out
that they have been promising for the last year that fixes the
horrible fly-by-wire programming??? It's always "1-2 weeks away" at
the three local dealers. All acknowledge the problem, but yet no one
03 Accord trans shifting08 Jul 2008 13:39 GMT3

01 Prelude Timing Chains07 Jul 2008 22:49 GMT10
a while back, gfretwell was asking about whether he should have to
replace his timing chain because it is seven years old. His Prelude only
had 45,000 km on it, and he wondered if this were really true. Has
anyone else figured out the answer to this?

stripped oil plug06 Jul 2008 05:05 GMT3
I recently bought my college age daughter a 92 accord. It runs great but
there was an oil leak. I tracked it down to the drain plug but as I tried to
tighten it I realized it's stripped as I couldn't torque it down. Is this a
repair the average guy can do at home?
just a general question06 Jul 2008 03:22 GMT2
I've noticed that a lot of windshields have dot patterns at top center and
sometimes around the edges.
Is this just decoration, or does it serve a purpose?
Thanks.
Paranormal Tire04 Jul 2008 23:52 GMT5
I have a 98 Civic HX with aluminum wheels.
I live in a formerly rural area where I don't believe anyone has
tampered with my tires.
Having stated the above, yesterday the right front tire lost pressure to
Coasting in Neutral???04 Jul 2008 19:22 GMT26
I have 2001 Acura Integra GSR Stick shift, is it safe to just coast in
neutral down hill or will it prematurely wear out my transmission?  I
have read about some people who practice hypermiling and alternate
between neutral and drive.  What do you guys think?

Yes I know about the tranny problems with the vehicle, but
among you owners, how many actually experience the
breakdown, and around what mileage?
