Nice writeup on opening your old torque wrench. Is it right that the upper nut in the handle was held in place by the plastic molding of the handle? So there is less chance of it rotating out of place than the lower nut?

The heater valve in the hose does not close all the way once heater is used. it will close the rest of way if I move lever with my finger, & very little pressure is needed. Does the valve have an internal spring that is supposed to close it?
