1986 Honda Accord LXI, FI 2.024 Dec 2008 14:52 GMT57
I purchased a 1986 Honda LXI 5spd FI 2.0 for my son.  He wanted
something that would get good gas mileage and get him back and forth
to college.  He has a good head on his shoulders.
The car was sold as-is with 2 problems.  No fuel to the engine and the
seatbelt beep/chime24 Dec 2008 03:39 GMT21
I have a 2003 Honda Accord.  I would like to know if there is a way to
turn off the seatbelt beep/chime alert.  My mom drives the car and she
never wears the belt anyway.
Decided transmission is bad.23 Dec 2008 21:53 GMT5
After taking my car into a shop to have the transmission diagnosed,
they determined it is slipping and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
Now my question is, for a 98 Honda Accord with 230K miles and already
replacing 1 transmission (which lasted for 100K miles), being money
Interference on FM after exhaust replacement on Honda Accord23 Dec 2008 18:55 GMT7
I recently had the mid-section on my 97 Accord exhaust replaced, and since
then I have been getting intermittent FM radio reception problems
(crackling, poor signal/tuning, general hiss or mono signal).  This could
obviously be a coincidence, but I thought I'd ask first whether ...
Frozen car door lock23 Dec 2008 14:10 GMT7
Any way to fix a car door lock that gets frozen easily?  My 97 Accord
has had problems with the driver side door lock the last 2 winters.
Last year, there were days when I had to turn the key several times to
get the door to unlock.  This year seems to be worse.  This morning,
Honda Tops Industry in Keeping Customers21 Dec 2008 16:30 GMT3
As the number of new cars sold shrinks, retaining customers has become a key goal for automakers, and right now it looks like Honda leads the pack. According to J.D. Power and Associates' 2008 Customer Retention Study, Honda has a...

Vehix, CarFax reports21 Dec 2008 00:32 GMT3
Anybody here used these services to find out the history of a used car?
How do they collect such info, anyway? A car might be serviced by
different shops and even by the owner which may not submit a record of
the service to any databases. Just curious ...
Tegger: Craftsman Torque Wrench writeup19 Dec 2008 23:39 GMT23
Nice writeup on opening your old torque wrench.
Is it right that the upper nut in the handle was held in place by the
plastic molding of the handle? So there is less chance of it rotating
out of place than the lower nut?
COLD WEATHER FUEL ECONOMY, TRICKS TO INCREASE IT ?19 Dec 2008 13:11 GMT10
We all know that cold weather cuts into fuel economy, but is there
something that can be added/modified to trick the computer into
thinking that the ambient (outside, environmental) temperature is
actually above 70 degerees F ?
94 civic heater valve not closing - ideas?19 Dec 2008 06:12 GMT2
The heater valve in the hose does not close all the way once heater is used.
it will close the rest of way if I move lever with my finger, & very little
pressure is needed.  Does the valve have an internal spring that is supposed
to close it?

2007 Accord EX4 miles on OEM tires18 Dec 2008 04:44 GMT12
I'm accustomed to tires going 40k-60k+ miles, but my 2007 sedan is
coming up on 25k miles, and the tires look to be getting down there.
Is that the common experience?
Thanks.

No Lights on Dashboard17 Dec 2008 17:06 GMT2
My 1998 Honda Civic EX Sedan had about 210,000 miles on it.
For the controls for the air conditioning, the lights to see the bodie

strips that show the heat levels have died.  At night, naturally, I canno
