1990 Civic check engine light30 Mar 2009 17:46 GMT5
My 1990 Civic 1.5 automatic turns on the check engine light
occasionally under brisk acceleration after warm-up.  Without turning
car off, I look under pass side carpet for LED flashes.  It flashes
once every couple of seconds.  Turn car off, back on CEL is out, LED
2005 Pilot key problem fixed.29 Mar 2009 22:37 GMT1
The key was requiring too many presses to lock and unlock the doors.
Thinking the battery may be low, I removed it, measured the voltage and it
was just a tad under 3v.
I put it back in and the problem was solved.  Apparently, the contacts were
White Car, little black speckles (dots) on the trunk area?29 Mar 2009 20:58 GMT1
I have a white car, and it has little black speckles on the trunk
area.  When I wash it, the little black speckles (dots) become little
brown speckles, but will not totally go away.  I'm not sure if this is
rust, or the beginning stages of rust, or just won't go away because
1996 Honda 4 cylinder - Pre-purchase Questions28 Mar 2009 19:24 GMT4
Greetings car people of the world. I am investigating a 1996 Honda
cylinder - automatic.  It has 196000 miles on it. It looks good but
have 3 questions:  1)The valves seem noisy, what can be done or are the
in bad condition. 2) Is it a good idea to replace the timing belt befor
Honda OEM wiper blades, any better than aftermarket?28 Mar 2009 02:09 GMT25
I have a Honda Accord nearing 300K. It could be that my winshield has
too many small pitts that make my windshield wipers wear out quickly
(2-months). I clean them once a month with rubbing alcohol and polish
my winshield with newspaper every 2-weeks or so.

Parallel parking26 Mar 2009 04:07 GMT19
In the old days where you could see and judge the front and back of cars
like my full sized 1968 Ford Galaxy 500, I could parallel park with full
confidendence given a space clearance as little as 2 inches. (Takes forever
to get in and out but I could park that sucker) With the ...
CRV Valve Tick After Adjustment and a few other questions.26 Mar 2009 03:29 GMT20
I bought a 1999 CRV a while ago and recenty had the valves adjusted.
>From what I can find from the dealer, the valves had not been done
before (it had 60k on the odo when I purchased).  As per the info I got
from this forum, I had them adjusted to the loose side of spec. Now
Excessive motor oil25 Mar 2009 02:19 GMT18
I live in the US and drive a Honda Civic 2005.  I have been going to the
local auto shop that specializes in Japanese cars for car maintainence.
These folks do a good job for the most part except for oil change. The
Civic manual says that it will take 3.4 quarts of oil but these
thud noise from rear wheel23 Mar 2009 14:16 GMT1
I'm hearing a thud thud thud noise which sounds like it's coming from
the rear drivers side wheel. It's a 2003 Honda Civic hatchback. Noise
increases in frequency with speed but dissappears as you speed up
towards 30mph. The tyre on that wheel was replaced recently due to a
replacing radiator on 90 automatic accord23 Mar 2009 13:36 GMT5
I'm planning to replace my radiator, I've been adding coolant every
other week, and now that the warm weather is back, I see a small
puddle under the car. It's clearly the radiator because I was able to
see it when the car was up at a shop.
2005 Pilot door locks23 Mar 2009 03:19 GMT7
Takes three presses of the unlock button on my key to unlock all doors, when
it shuld be two pushes.  A while ago, the battery went dead on the car.
Could it be something to do with that happening..?
