Combination switch imprecise in cold weather10 Jul 2009 19:03 GMT1
My 2000 Accord's combination switch is iffy in cold weather.  The left
(light) stalk is fine, but on the right stalk I have to fish around to
find the right spot to get the wipers going.  It's just the twist
action -- the "mist" and washer fluid functions work fine.
What does oil- and dirt-covered surface of 2000 Honda engine suggest?10 Jul 2009 12:56 GMT10
I have some photos of a 2000 Honda Civic engine with 140,000 kilometers
(87,500 miles).  98% of them local, urban miles.  Fuel has always been a
95 octane.  Engine oil has always been synthetic (in this part of the
planet) but changed every 10,000 km (6000-7000 miles) anyway ...
Another gassy subject10 Jul 2009 05:26 GMT9
In keeping with the topic of gasoline in the previous posts, I have noticed
Shell (Canada) advertising Nitrogen infused gasoline.
I'm thinking it's a load of water buffalo dung.
Any opinions on this?
2006 Honda Civic Si Rear Brakes09 Jul 2009 06:53 GMT6
I have a 2006 Honda Civic Si with about 55,000 Miles on it.
The time has come for a brake job.
I have never had a car with rear discs before, so before I dig into
them (did the fronts today), is there anything I should be aware of
Using a trickle charger - any rules on this?09 Jul 2009 04:02 GMT26
So here's the deal.  The car is a Honda Civic with a group 51 battery
(Kirkland Signature from Costco if that helps).  Every once in a while
the battery is heavily drained because a light (map light or headlamp)
was left on.  I do find it annoying that there is no headlight-on
1999 Civic blown head gasket09 Jul 2009 03:53 GMT22

Getting the code to reset the radio09 Jul 2009 03:39 GMT7
Can anyone tell me how to get what the code is to reset the radio in a 1995
Honda Accord?
Cause of range underreporting by 50% on '04 Accord Nav sys trip computer?09 Jul 2009 03:19 GMT4
Can anyone suggest a likely cause for the sudden under-reporting by 50%
of available range remaining on a full tank of gas with my '04 Accord
EX V6 w/ nav system's trip computer? I have reset the "history"
function both on filling the tank as well as repeatedly every 10 miles
2000 Accord horn unreliable08 Jul 2009 04:36 GMT1
I have a 2000 Accord EX coupe and my horn doesn't necessarily work
when I press down on it.  Sometimes it does if I press hard enough, or
find the right spot, or both.  Does the horn switch on this car tend
to develop a short in some predictable way?  Is it something a home
2004 Headlamp replacement08 Jul 2009 02:59 GMT13
OK, I've never had such a problem replacing a bulb before.  I've removed the
clips and gained access thru the wheel-well /fender to the passenger side
headlamp but there is absolutely no movement when I try to turn the bulb
counter clockwise (or clockwise for that matter).  Is ...
4 cylinder better than V6?06 Jul 2009 13:00 GMT26
Dear Honda experts:
I read in here that someone says Honda makes the best 4-cylinder and
stick with that (and manual.)  So if I wanted a V6 I should not get a
Honda because Honda is not an expert building V6s?
Why Accord over the Camry?05 Jul 2009 01:42 GMT14
Dear Honda group members:
I am having a hard time trying to decide whether or not to buy a Camry
SE V6 or Accord EX-V6
Just want to know if you guys can offer any expert opinions on why
Gasoline Brands - Not all are alike04 Jul 2009 06:42 GMT29
Are you guys aware that Honda recommends only using "Top Tier" gas in
their cars? Same goes for Toyota, BMW and GM. It has to do with the
amount of detergent additives. Here's an excerpt from Car and Driver
magazine.
96 accord Catalytic fit a 94?01 Jul 2009 19:02 GMT1
I need a new cat for my 94 accord ex-r. I came across a cat from a 96
accord but they seem to have different part numbers according to the
guy at the junk yard. Both cars are 4 cylinder sedans.
Will this work for my 94?
2003 CR-V Code P145701 Jul 2009 01:59 GMT2
