Ok, that's it, I'm closing my business and going to work for Hyundai31 Jan 2004 02:41 GMT5
Just a few short months ago, an acquaintance told me she purchased a
fully loaded V6 Sonata. We were on the phone so I felt free to express
my contempt by shaking my head in disdain.    What did I know about
Hyundai then?  Absolutely nothing.  It was a perception, as someone else ...

Hello Hyundai folks ...
This is a 1990 Excel Gl that I purchased new back then.
It's been a dream of a little car, with only scheduled
maintenance to keep it going .. until last week when it
Buying 1999 Elantra, any advice please.30 Jan 2004 18:08 GMT2
I have read on edmunds.com that the clutch on the 99 (and possibly
other years) releases very early. I am going to test drive a used 1999
tomorrow, and am wondering how high is too high for the clutch to
release and how will I know if it's worn or not. It only has 47000
Rented a Sonata 4cyl for test drive for weekend30 Jan 2004 18:06 GMT4
Called local Hyundai dealership to ask if they rented cars, said no but
they had a rental car company at their Ford dealership nearby.  It
didn't work out at that location but found other stores in their chain
that did have Hyandai's.  This was Enterprise Rental Car, they don't
Poor resale value-would I be able to sell it?30 Jan 2004 07:13 GMT15
I've now decided to go with Hyundai, just not sure which model yet.  A
nagging concern is this - I like to buy a new car every 5 yrs or so.  If
I purchased the XG350 (or Sonata), will I be able to sell it in 5 yrs or
would I have to almost be giving it away, or perhaps be unable ...

Hi there. I just thought I'd mention a new place online to discuss
Hyundais.. You can find the site at www.hyundaikiaforums.com - It's a
project that I'm hoping will help Hyundai and Kia get more popular. It
seems that no matter how great these cars and trucks get, they're
XG350 stereo compatability29 Jan 2004 03:30 GMT1
Not that I'm planning on swapping it out on my '02 XG350, but IF my stereo
should ever need replacing, would the new Infinity on the '04 XG350 be
compatible? Are there any different/new features with the Infinity?

GREEN AIR CONDITIONING LIGHT ALWAYS ON?28 Jan 2004 21:25 GMT16
I just bought a used '01 Hyundai Accent and was wondering if it's
normal that the green light on the air conditioning button always
stays on? I assume it would go on or off depending on whether you
switch this function on or off.
Does anyone moderate this board?28 Jan 2004 17:16 GMT4
There's a lot of good sharing going on here, but the volume of Get Rich/Get
Horny/Get Virus postings is very annoying.  Not that this is unique to this
newsgroup.  Is there some overseeing presence that can delete these annoying
posts?
Santa Fe going price??28 Jan 2004 14:21 GMT3
We are thinking of a Santa Fe GLS.
The dealer told us to take one home and 'play' with it for the weekend. It
is sitting in our driveway!!   I thought that was pretty amazing!!!
Anyway, the dealer was bewildering us with numbers when we were figuring out

Hyundai Getz   Holland/Europe  petrol consumption26 Jan 2004 15:59 GMT2
My Hyundai Getz 1.3 (Holland/Europe) uses a lot of petrol (in average 1 ltr.
to 10 km). According to the manufacturer's manual this should be (in
average) 1 ltr. to 17 km. Does anyone have the same experience?
And does anyone know what the problem is (and the solution)?
