correct way to drive the car: Gears + Clutch27 May 2004 15:31 GMT17
My friend recently flunked the driving test in ny,
Reason given was Poor Use of Manual Gears.
He has the habit of pulling the car in neutral 20 meters before
the stop sign. When he knows he has to stop, he turns the vehicle
squeeling on Santa Fe25 May 2004 16:53 GMT15
Has anybody else had a intermitent squeeling noise that seems to be coming
from the wheels or brakes while driving. It disapears when I get on the
brakes sometimes turning left or right will also make it go away for the
time your turning.

Elantra GT grinding gears21 May 2004 22:00 GMT7
Anyone heard of this?
My wife's new 04 Elantra GT grinds everytime you go from 1st to
2nd gear.  The only way it won't is if, when going from 1st to
2nd, pause in neutral for about a half-second, then it will go
K&N on 2002 Sonata. Anyone tried this yet?21 May 2004 15:28 GMT3
So what are the caveats on replacing the air intake with a K&N? I was
under the impression that you're not pulling as clean of air for the
sake of a couple of horses and "slightly" better gas mileage. Anyone?
Cheers.
Hyundai convertible ????21 May 2004 13:22 GMT1
I've heard tell of a Tiburon convertible in other countries, but are there
any Hyundai convertibles available in the U.S. ???
I've had an elantra and now a sonata.  I like the cars, but I have the urge
to "take my top off!"

Santa Fe trans fluid20 May 2004 17:54 GMT1
Ok...2002 Santa Fe manual says to use Sp III fluid....does that translate to
Dextron III?  I haven't seen a car since Ford that actually spec'd their own
Trans Fluid and no other would work.

Accent Tuning20 May 2004 16:38 GMT7
Has anybody done any basic tuning on their accent? I'm not expecting to
have a race car or anything, but I'm thinking of starting with intake &
exhaust (cold air, header, muffler, etc.). What kind of performance
increases are possible with upgraded intake/exhaust? How does doing
Accent engine hesitation20 May 2004 01:19 GMT26
My friend's accent has a problem with engine hestitation at low rpms.  When
you step on the gas below 2500-300 rpm, it goes chug-chug-chug-chug and has
no power.  While driving, this also causes a jerky effect.  The spark plugs
are new.  Is this a common problem?  I heard the ...
Leasing or Owning19 May 2004 22:22 GMT7
From Bones46@webtv.net
I am leasing a 2001 Hyundai Accent GL. Is leasing recommended because Im
unsure of the idea. I've had the car brandnew since 2001. Im told by
others that leasing the warranty will be good for just about anything.
2004 Santa Fe oil filter...special???19 May 2004 03:38 GMT5
I remember we had a vw golf..and was told not to use off the shelf oil
filters.
The VW ones had something in there that maintains positive pressure on the
oil reservoir...or some such techno mumbo jumbo.
101k's What type oil?18 May 2004 23:28 GMT3
Elantra 2000, what type of oil should I use?  Supposedly there are
synthetic types for older engines. What's best?
