Santa Fe transmission problem27 Jun 2004 07:08 GMT8
I've got an '02 Santa Fe (6 cyl) with about 75k on it.  Transmission is
acting weird.
Occasionally, when I first put it into "drive" the car will lurch forward
(as opposed to a smooth transition from neutral to drive).  When it does
Online manual?27 Jun 2004 01:33 GMT2
Is there an online service manual   for Hyundai's? Say for Elantra's?
2000 Elantra "Check Engine" light26 Jun 2004 06:29 GMT4
I have a 2000 Elantra with the "Check Engine" light on solid.  It's come
on a few times in the past, but always goes away after a day or two.
Thought at first it might be due to a loose gas cap, but after a few
times of it coming on, we bought a new cap and it still comes on.
Hyundai Amica Air Conditioning Problem25 Jun 2004 21:33 GMT4
I have an Hyundai Amica, 18 months old, less than 6K. Two weeks ago the air
conditioning packed in, I went to the dealer and for ?75 they replaced the
gas. Within 10 days it had gone again. When they examined it again they
found the radiator was leaking at the front. They say the ...

Could swear it was coming from underneath.
Had the transmission (manual) oil changed and good excuse to look

My lady friend has a good 1994 Excel and not much money with a bad (seized-
up) motor and I have a 1998 and 1999 Accent that have been totaled in the
rear... The engines and engine cradles are good and still run (57K miles).
Is there any way (within reason) to install either of ...

Reply: 2003 Accent - How Reliable???23 Jun 2004 02:52 GMT1
I purchased a 2002 Accent new, Its now 2004 with almost 40K miles on it, only had to take it to the dealer once to get a motor replaced on the driver side window (would not go up or down.)  Other than this one little problem it has been very reliable.   I would assume a 2003 ...
Knocking sound when raining22 Jun 2004 14:22 GMT1
I have a 2003 Sonata GLS which has the moon roof with the shield.  When
it rains, if you have any window open slightly you will hear a tapping
sound.  I tried removing the shield on top which minimized the noise,
but did not totally eliminate it.  Two dealers have looked at me
Opinions on 2000 Grandeur22 Jun 2004 02:05 GMT3
I am considering purchasing a 2000 Hyundai Grandeur.  The car I am looking
at isn't the fully loaded option (i.e. no leather seats).  It has 57,000 km
on the clock.  I'd be interested to hear from owners who have an opinion on
this model.  I'd  be interested to know what problems ...
Sticking Clutch?21 Jun 2004 18:20 GMT3
I hope someone can help (:  My daughter's 1995 Accent seems to have a
clutch problem. She states that the clutch seems to stick. The clutch
goes all the way to the floor and won't come back up; she is not able to
shift gears. This just started yesterday and today it has not happened
Engine/Transmission warranty21 Jun 2004 18:18 GMT3
So, I now have 500 + miles on my 2004 Sonata. I love it. I felt a
little bad not buying an American vehicle but that feeling goes away a
little more each time I drive this smooth riding car. I have noticed
several dirty looks at stop lights from other drivers, mostly men
Elantra and synthetic oil20 Jun 2004 15:00 GMT12
I've read a few old threads about synthetic oil, but I wanted to ask current users about it.  I recently saw an ad for Mobil1 oil that claimed engines showed no wear after two hundred thousand miles.  That sounds pretty outrageous - what do they mean?  I'd appreciate hearing from ...
Towing performance for Santa Fe20 Jun 2004 03:30 GMT1
Looking to tow a 15-17 foot hybrid camper weighing 3 to 5,000 pounds.  I
know at least going up hill it will be slow but wondered if anyone has had
experience towing this capacity.  What is the Santa Fe's performance like?
I know according to the factory specs it can tow this weight ...
Is engine oil color a good indication of it's condition?19 Jun 2004 17:41 GMT4
Regarding oil changes I wonder if the color of the oil (dino, not synth) is a good indication of when a change is necessary?  For instance, I changed the oil in my Elantra about 3000 miles ago and it's still a nice amber color.  Does that mean it's still providing good ...
