2000 Elantra Misfire19 Jun 2004 00:08 GMT2
Misfire in cylinder #1 with a blinking check engine light. TSB points to
fuel injector problem (all injectors click). I did the spark plugs & cable
routine with no luck. Going to switch the ingnition coil pairs around in
an attempt to diagnose (#1 doesn't seem to jump as high as the ...
Hyundai exterior paint18 Jun 2004 03:35 GMT3
My wife and I just purchased a Sonata yesterday. Near the end of the
paperwork, the Finance manager tried to sell us on a coating to protect the
car's paint. I declined the offer because I thought it was expensive ($400
USD), and I've never had car paint issues before. (I've only ...
Cracked exhaust manifold - Elantra18 Jun 2004 03:33 GMT3
Anyone have a problem with a cracked exhaust manifold.  1997 Elantra - the
dealer says it's very common for the exhaust manifold to crack due to
heating and cooling.  Wants $500 to change it.
Anyone ever change one- looks pretty simple at first glance.
drive axles18 Jun 2004 03:16 GMT1
I just had brand new drive axles installed in my XG350L and it is now
clunk clunk clunking around left turns and making a severe clunk when
I back up with the wheel turned left.
Would a brand new axle have a bad CV joint?

On my car, a Elantra from '92 both ground cable screws were not

I'm talking about the main neg cable from the batery to the

I was helping a friend to install a sub woofer. I accidentally shorted
out the radio power lead to the ground. I can't find any blown fuse in
the relay box up front or the fuse box below the dash. Where is this
fuse?

I spoke to the service manager of a Mitsubishi/Hyundai dealership - she
reports that XG350 and Sonata great cars, but advises against Elantra
because of transmission problems.  Have you experienced any?  Also, for
automatic, what gas mileage are you getting?

Hyundai 'Donut' Wheel/Tire12 Jun 2004 15:50 GMT2
We have a 'Donut' tire & wheel from our 1998 Sonata, and are quite certain it
will work on other Hyundai's, as well as other cars.  Is there any online
source that I can check to see what other vehicles this wheel will fit?  The
bolt-holes are 3 3/16ths inch (6.8 cm) ...

My 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT (6 months old) has the following problems:

2.  Left and right turn signals suddenly don't work.  Lever moves but
no electrical response.
