Has anyone had trouble with a 2001 Accent eating tires?  A friend has
averaged less than 4,000 miles per set on the rear of her Accent, and has
gotten absolutely no satisfaction from the dealer.

Hyundai warranty woes.. Don't trust the "Hyundai Advantage"..26 Jul 2004 03:42 GMT35
The key selling point in Hyundai's advertising and the driving factor in my
decision to buy a Hyundai a few years ago was the 100,000 mile powertrain
warranty. But I have had the misforturne of discovering in recent weeks
that Hyundai will do anything they can to get out of actually ...
10W30 Vs 5W30 - does it matter?25 Jul 2004 22:31 GMT14
After putting 5W30 Mobil1 in my 2003 Elantra (19k miles) I noticed the manual recommends 10W30.  Is there any reason that 5W30 would be a problem?  Temperatures in my driving area are generally moderate (40F-90F).
Looking into '04 Tiburon25 Jul 2004 18:38 GMT2
I'm looking into purchasing a new 2004 Tiburon. From what I've read and
heard in reviews, etc, it seems like a great car. I'm especially attracted
to the 10/100 warranty since I plan on financing.
What would be the best time of year to buy one if I want to get a good deal?

My 12-year old pony has some problems with the receive of radio signals.

Sonata goes to full accelleration22 Jul 2004 00:11 GMT2
Thought I would try here and see if I'm lucky.  My girlfriend has a 2001
Sonata, 6 cylinder Engine.
The engine first starts pinging and knocking, then goes to full engine
accelleration.  By itself.  Any clue as to what that is (now that the

Try getting a second opinion from another dealer, perhaps that dealer will see it
different.
Windshield Ding21 Jul 2004 16:28 GMT5
I got caught in a massive hailstorn with golf ball size hail in my
Sante Fe.  I finally got shelter under a bridge on the freeway.  When
it was over I walked around the car in the parking lot of a hotel &
the body came out perfect bit what I thought was a dead bug was a chip
Any info on the Hyundai diesels passeger cars?21 Jul 2004 13:12 GMT1
Anybody heard any rumors or talk of Hyundai importing there diesel passenger
cars to the US. Like to hear from our European folks that might drive a

getting etc.
Ping Hyundaitech21 Jul 2004 11:57 GMT8
Thank you for all the help you have given us on this newsgroup. You've been
a great asset to all us Hyundai owners.
I would like to ask you about my 03 Elantra's AM radio. Like others, my
reception is practically zilch. I live in a major urban area and listening
Airco H20020 Jul 2004 20:11 GMT1

blow-out-air-temperature) and 8° C was good enough, they said.
But in my experience (comparing to the airco I had in a Nissan)  it
takes too long to reach a bit of coolness and the
