best tires?22 Nov 2004 01:02 GMT5
IN about 1 month I plan on getting rid of the shitty stock tires and buying
a decent pair for my 02 accent. What type would you suggest? I live in Pa,
so they will have to deal with snow, rain and wet leaves. As for the snow
I do have a set of studded snow tires that I put on the ...
Repair on Elantra GT 5door '0421 Nov 2004 14:46 GMT3
Is there anything I should watch out for on a Hatch & Bumper replacement
after being rear ended? Estimate calls for a new Hatch and a bumper cover,
paint etc..
About $1850 USD. Was hit by a jeep, which of course rode right up over the
FREE KIA21 Nov 2004 03:41 GMT10
We are getting a laugh out of a TV ad for a Kia dealership that every
Sedona sold the purchaser gets a FREE Accent.
They are that bad that they choose a car instead of $6K off the
price????
99 Accent  in snow20 Nov 2004 01:20 GMT6
I am thinking of buying 99 accent 60K and sticksshift on it. I live at
a place where snow fall will happen pretty heavily and I have never
driven in snow. To make the matters interesting, the car has no power
steering. Can anyone tell me if its a good or a bad idea to buy a car
Temp gauge read high, 96 Accent18 Nov 2004 21:08 GMT8
I have a huyndai Accent 1996, the temp gauge read high all the time, noting
wrong with my cooling system, antifreez is full. When I start when motor is
cold like over night the needle goes midway, then when I drive for a few
miles goes all the way. What is going on?
Sonata 2004 - Program new remote18 Nov 2004 01:03 GMT1
I just bought a new remote for the 2004 Hyundai Sonata and want to program
it. The dealer quoted me $45.00, but it can't be too difficult. I saw some
other references to TSB's but the one I located did not reference the 2004
Sonata. Nor could I even locate the valet switch, maybe ...
When to change transmissin fluid18 Nov 2004 01:01 GMT5
When should you get the transmission fluid changed? I took it into the
dealer to get it done ( my car was also shifting hard) and they told me
that it dosnet have to be done until 100k, (I currently have 40K) any
input on this? I figure that at worst if my transmision fails, they ...
2000 Sonata GLS headlights17 Nov 2004 10:09 GMT4
Hello everyone... We bought a small KIA a few years ago new, and have
been very impressed with the little car.. As a result, when we decided
a few weeks ago  that we wanted a second car, we went looking at
Hyundai/KIA again..   We found a 2000 Sonata GLS that the local
95 Hyundai S-Coupe ignition barrel15 Nov 2004 18:03 GMT1
Anyone know the procedure to remove it? I've got 3/4 of a snapped key in
mine and want to get the rest of the key out before I get a lock smith out
to cut me two new keys. Don't want to have to pay a lock smith $$$ to remove
the piece of key.
2000 Sonata electrical weirdness15 Nov 2004 17:59 GMT3
I also had this strange episode a few weeks ago.
After I bought the car I had a remote starter/security system that was
in there deactivated. I think it was a Power Start 9000A by G.I.T.
Security Products. I don't know whether or not they removed all the
'04 Tiburon first oil change15 Nov 2004 16:28 GMT1
I recently purchased a 2004 Tiburon and am at about 1200 miles. I know that
generally with a car,  you're supposed to get an oil change every 3000
miles. However, is it true that the first oil change should be done prior to
1500 miles?  And should the first oil change include a ...
2001 Sonata 2.4L timing15 Nov 2004 02:12 GMT2
I'm working on a 2.4l engine. The balance shaft belt broke which bent the
flange between the 2 crank gears and in turn destroyed the cranksensor and
nearly the timing belt. I am having trouble removing the crank gears. How
do keep the crankshaft from moving. Is there a place to pin ...
Servicing under lease14 Nov 2004 19:52 GMT10
Hi there --I'm just wondering whether you have an obligation to take
your car to a Hyundai dealer for servicing if you are leasing a car
from them.  I'm in Canada.
I was thinking of doing the oil/air filter stuff and tire rotations
2000 Sonata - washer fluid pump shot13 Nov 2004 02:12 GMT7
Well it finally went below freezing a few nights back and I still had
some summer washer fluid in the reservoir. My guess was that it froze up
and that's why my pump wasn't spritzing properly. But it's had plenty of
time to thaw and I've also poured some fluid that's good for -40 C, ...
