does anyone have a idea why our accents transmission makes a dry screetching
noise when car is idling in the am when cold out?(as for the rad fan running
when cold from prev posts, im leaving it till we have enough $$ to go to
dealer to have codes red etc..)

My father-in-law and I recently discovered the virtues of buying a Hyundai
when we purchased a 2000 Accent 1.5CDX (new shape) for his daughter to
drive.

My 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT has 26,000 and the clutch just broke on it.
The clutch didn't slip or show any signs that it was about to break.

Hi. I have a 2002 Elantra. The dealer replaced the transmission due to the
2-3 upshift problem.Anyway, when it gets could here, around 0-C, the
transmission whines on a cold start. warms up and goes away in about 3-4

Just been informed by service dept that the alternator on my 98 Sonata
Levant 3lt V6 is dead. They are quoting around the $1,000 (Australian)
to replace as it is so difficult to access.... anyone know if it is a
difficult job or are they seeing me as an easy source of income?

I want to change my fuel filter. I was told by the dealer that it is
located in the gas tank. Can this be changed  quite easily by myself or do
