I have a 2001 Elantra VE and only 39,300km now. Last week I had to have the car towed to the dealer since all the steering power fluid was gone in one day (I can tell it from my garage). They told me the hose was rusty, so caused the leaking. I know nothing about the car

| Sonata reliability? | 18 Jan 2005 22:40 GMT | 27 |
My mother is considering a Sonata as her next car (probably an '05). I've been very pleased with the Excel and Elantra I've owned, but I have no experience with the Sonata. IIRC, there have been some posts here regarding problems with the automatic tranny. Any major issues I ...

I'm not very experienced at mechanics, but I was wondering if it is possible to bypass the air conditioner compressor on a 1998 Hyundai Accent 4 cylinder with a longer V-belt? You see, a few days ago my car started to make a really bad noise when I was

| Anybody tow with their Elantra? | 17 Jan 2005 19:58 GMT | 5 |
Edmunds.com says the >'01 Elantras can tow up to 3,000lbs with trailer brakes. Has anyone tested that? Seems a bit far fetched for a small 2 liter, 4-banger engine.

| How Hard to Change Transmission on Elantra? | 14 Jan 2005 00:12 GMT | 1 |
I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra front wheel drive. The transmission needs changed. How hard would it be to take it out myself and put it back in after a professional fixes it? Or is this something an auto shop should definitely handle?

| 2000 Accent- Stalling and Bucking | 13 Jan 2005 23:09 GMT | 3 |
I have a 2000 Accent Hatchback. It started Bucking once in a while at HWY speeds. The check engine light would come on for 3 or 4 secs, and then go off. This kept getting worse, to the point where the car stalled and would not start for 20 minutes.
