I am going to be car shopping with a friend who is going to buy a new
accent, what is the price I should be shooting for? I live in centeral pa.
I currently pay 218 per month for 5 years (bought the extended warrenty)

Accent CD player broken. Error 618 Apr 2005 20:46 GMT3
The warranty covers Accent CD players for something like 36,000 miles,
so of course ours decided to wait until after that (something like
45,000) to give up.  FM/AM radio still works perfectly, but now when
we put in a CD, it makes some godawful whirring sound and then spits
another warranty question.18 Apr 2005 18:21 GMT2
I am selling my 2000 Elantra and am wondering how i would go about
transfering the warranty.
I think i read somewhere that if you sell a Hyundai the rest of the
warranty is halfed.

I own a 2000 elantra. she has 44k miles on her. i noticed that since
this winter i hear and feel a slight grinding from the back end when i
move the car from a stopped position. this could be the shocks but
somebody said that it might be the struts.

Where's the Hybrids!18 Apr 2005 17:59 GMT54
With gas going to $3 a gal for 97 octane, I want over 40 mpg not 23 on
average city/shy combined with the Santa Fe.  Tucsons are but fleet
service only, so lets get building for the regular repeat purchaser!!!!
Cyclone/Turbo fans?18 Apr 2005 15:04 GMT5
I'm sure we've all seen those fans on TV that you hook up to the
intake hose or wherever it is and they supposedly produce up to 35
more HP and better gas mileage.  There are like $60.  Has anyone
purchased one here and if so did it really make a difference in the
Tune-ups for Santa Fe 200518 Apr 2005 05:11 GMT4
I've leased cars in the past (with the exception of owning used cars,)
and I have never financed a new car like I just did.
I want to be very correct with the tune-ups, inspections, et cetera.
Should I take it to the Hyundai dealer (where I assume it's going to
Changing from Centigrade to Farenhiet17 Apr 2005 08:55 GMT8
My sister picked up her new 2005 Sonata tonight. Both the Climate control
and the ambient temperature readouts are in Centigrade. Anyone know how to
change this to Fahrenheit?
Amazingly, the owners manual was not with the car. They promised it to her
Anyone ever mod their Sonata with a new dash kit?16 Apr 2005 18:19 GMT5
I broke the plastic cup holder on my 2002 Sonata and to fix it my dealer
quoted me nearly $250. Seems outrageous for a piece of plastic that
probably cost $10 to make. There's a place that makes very slick looking
dash kits, anyone tried one of them? It would be from this place:
Current drain through alternator15 Apr 2005 21:41 GMT2
I'm posting this in case someone else has a similar problem. About a yr
ago, my '99 Accent would crank slowly if left for more than 2 days. I had
both the battery and alternator checked and they were ok. Using my
multimeter I found out I had a power off current drain of 250ma ...
elantra accessory belt replacement15 Apr 2005 15:31 GMT2
I bought a used'95 Elantra, 1.8L with the A/C belt missing. I'm going to
install the A/C belt to find out why it was originally removed. My two
questions are: does the idler bracket for the A/C have to be removed to
replace the belt since it seems to be captured. Also, does the ...
1999 Elantra Problem14 Apr 2005 22:40 GMT1
This morning I went to warm up my car for several minutes.  Everything
seems hunky dory, no strange engine behavior.  But the second I pop it
into reverse, engine dies.  I start it several more times, and the
moment I shift down to either R, N, or D, same deal.  Electrical stuff

90 weight in Santa Fe?14 Apr 2005 22:29 GMT1
I have a 04 Santa Fe. On Saturday, I was looking askance in parking lots at
cars next to me to determine which one stanks like gear oil.
Funny, I smelled the same thing yesterday in the driveway while heading out.
So, I suspect it was my Hyundai emitting that pungent aroma!!
