Bought this lemon brand new.  At 4000 miles the clutch assembly went out.
They replaced it at no charge.  At 15000 miles it went again, it cost me
$1952.00 because the warranty didn't cover.  Says alot for their 100,000
mile bumper to bumper warranty.

I had no choice but to take my elantra wagon to the dealer.  I was
told that the after market O2 sensor would not work in my car and it
needed to be replaced with an OEM part, which of course was twice the

Cold Start and Shifting and Idle Problems19 Aug 2005 17:39 GMT3
I've got a 2001 Accent GS, and it's having 3 problems.
1) Cold Start - On a cold start, the engine will chug / putter until i give
it some gas to rev the engine, then all is good.  If i don't give it any gas,
it'll stall out.    Once it's been started once, this problem is gone.
'05 Accent Gas Mileage19 Aug 2005 13:13 GMT17
I am considering an '05 Accent GT with 5-speed.  The "EPA" mileage
estimate is 33 highway which seemed low to me, especially since the
4-speed auto was rated at 35 mpg.  My '01 Accent 1.5 5-speed was rated
at 35 hwy but gets 38-40 mpg.  I was wondering if anyone here has an
01 Accent problem19 Aug 2005 13:12 GMT7
I have a '01 Accent. Several times whilst in warranty I found that the car
would stall while idling, 'hiccup' whilst cruising on the freeway and jump
and fart whenever I demanded a little performance from it (by performance I
simply mean overtaking or moving off from a red light).
