I was getting my tires rotated today (2001 Sonata with 50,000 miles) and the auto shop told me that my front brake pads have only about 10% left and needed to be replaced very soon. They quoted me a price that included replacing the front pads and

My daughters 2002 Elantra was nearing 60000 miles, so I called around to a few Hyundai dealers to see what they charged. The one that had quoted me $400 a couple of months back had upped it to $460. Most were around $450 +/- 30 bucks. However Antwerpen Hyundai in Clarksville, ...

| Hyundai oil filters | 27 Feb 2006 22:26 GMT | 21 |
What are folks paying for Hyundai oil filters? I just bought the first one for my 06 Sonata (spin-on for the 4 cylinder) and the dealer price is $9.95. I think someone mentioned here getting a case mail order. What was the price for that?

| 2005 Santa Fe Accelerator | 27 Feb 2006 16:29 GMT | 46 |
My apologies if this is a re-hash of an existing topic, but I was unble to locate anything via a search of the group. I just bought a '05 Santa Fe (unbeatable set of clearance rebates), new, and am so far happy with the vehicle, save for one annoyance. The

| Automatic Seems To Shift Itself--What Is It Doing? | 27 Feb 2006 02:46 GMT | 8 |
Maybe it's chip/computer is acclimating/adjusting itself to a different driver's style of driving? I'll be driving steadily our automatic on a highway trip, and it occasionally seems to shift itself.

| Sonata 2000 V6: partial loss of the front panel lights | 27 Feb 2006 02:41 GMT | 4 |
I have lost part of illumination on the dash controls. For example the indicator that the AC is on works (little green rectangle), but the letters 'AC' are not illuminated. Also the shifter (the one that is on the floor) letters are not highlighted any more but the ones on the

| 2006 Sonata : Headrest | 26 Feb 2006 19:25 GMT | 3 |
I test-drove a 2006 Sonata yesterday. A very nice car for the price. About the only negative I came up with was the position of the driver's headrest. I've never had a headrest actively touch the back of my head, to the point of being uncomfortable. This was not the case with

| "Clanking" noise on left only turns | 26 Feb 2006 11:59 GMT | 11 |
I own a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon with 15k. I am hearing a "clanking" sound on slow speed left only turns. This noise occurs when the wheel is 1/3 - 1/4 the way cocked left and happens in both drive and reverse. The noise is sporadic and doesn't seem to pattern temperature, moisture, etc ...

I can't seem to find the thread on this from my machine here, but as promised, these are the best gloves IMO to use for your automobile work. http://tinyurl.com/jvleb I'm pretty sure that anyone can order from them (Lab Safety), but not 100%

| OEM Tires | 25 Feb 2006 14:56 GMT | 2 |
When I had to replace tires on my 2003 Sonata LX I wanted to buy the same tires. I bought Michelin mxv4+ p205/60r16 91H rated and I noticed that there is no mileage warranty. I asked around and came to the conclusion that I should expect about 30,000 from these high speed rated ...

| part identification | 25 Feb 2006 02:45 GMT | 2 |
I recently bought a used 1995 Scoupe. I noticed there is a component mounted just ahead of the driver's front tire area (draw a line between the driver's tire and the driver's headlight and this thing is mounted about half way along that imaginary line). The unit is about 4 inches ...
