I just took my LX on a 2000 mile round trip with 98% being interstate
driving. I averaged 27.3 mpg for the trip, with the cruise set on 79mph.
Computer had my average speed at 66mph.

We just took delivery on our 2006 Sonata GLS V6. Overall this is a
great car, though we have never had a vehicle with features like ABS,
traction control, etc., and it's something of an adjustment getting
used to all this computer-controlled stuff. One thing we are noticing

'06 Sonata GLS V6 AT.  Had my first transmission "misfire" on the way home
tonight.  Was using the manual shifter, going from 2nd to 3rd.  Pushed up
on the lever and it went to neutral!!  Took a second, and without touching
anything, it went to 3rd and gave me a bit of a jolt.

I've just buy an elantra GT 2002 at 85k km. When calling my local
dealer for verificating all recall was done, they told me that my car
needed a new timing belt after 4 years.
Is that true, after only 4 years? I suppose it's for the warranty, but

seems to run fine and has plenty of power, but we're getting a belt

This is now doing my head in, everytime I start the car I have a steady
rumble coming somewhere from within the dash or inside the trim.
When I speed up the noise gets worse upto around 50 miles per hour and it
only goes away once the car is in 5th and going at around 60ish.

I have a 2005 Tucson that seems to collect water inside both driver side
doors every time it rains.  Over night I can get up tp a half cup of water
draining from each door as soon as I open either door.  I also notice water
pooling on the sill.  I have had the car in to the dealer ...

For the 2006 twins cruise control is not offered.  Is it possible to
install cruise control on these cars as an aftermarket install?  Say
with the 5 speed manual transmission?

Do any of you do an oil change for your Elantra 02 (or for that matter
any car) on your own? I mean how can it be done without raising the car
on one of those lifts? And how do you dispose off the old oil?
Anything else that I need to be careful about?

My Hyundai dealer tells me this is normal, but I was wondering what
some other Hyundai owners think. My Sonata never seems to downshift
into 2nd gear, It will drop right from 3rd into 1st. Makes it kind of
sluggish when I'm in 3rd and should be in 2nd.

I replaced my rear brake pads and rotors on Friday (3/10) with Hawk Pads
and DBA Drilled and Slotted high quality rotors.  One of my wheels is
giving off a harsh noise when braking.  Its more than a squeal, but not
necessarily a scrape or a grind.

Hyundai had a web site that had broken-down  pictures of all the major
car components. I can't find it now. Anyone??
