I was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I could pick up the
"Special" socket that is required to replace the 02 sensor located on the
exhaust manifold of a 2000 Sonata GLS V6?   I also need the 02 sensor as well,
is there somepleace cheaper than a dealership?  I ...

Hope you can help me figure out what is happening with my transmission.
Here's what happened: While cruising on the highway at 65 mph in
automatic, all of a sudden, a pretty big jerk and noise heard from
below, and immediately the check engine light came on. However, I
99 sonata 2.4l stalling problem20 Nov 2006 18:19 GMT4
A neighbor down the street came over with a 99 sonata 2.4 that he
bought and it stalls quite badly.  He has put new plugs in it and it

been erased when he put in a new battery last month. I can not get my
Is rust on the wheel drums normal?20 Nov 2006 12:15 GMT17
Hi I have a 2006 Sonata GLS and have noticed what seems to be rust on
the rear wheel drum where it joins the brake disk. I was wondering is
this normal or should I raise it on my next service visit to the
dealer. I can't notice any on the front wheels though which is what has
Switching between synthetic and regular oil19 Nov 2006 19:02 GMT24
I've been using Castrol synthetic oil in my Elantra.  When I went for an oil
change recently and asked for regular oil I was told that since they had
been putting synthetic in my car they would not switch back to regular oil.
Would it in fact put the engine at risk to use regular ...

I am getting a growling noise when I turn the wheel to the left or right

rotors which are rusty causing the noise and the pads are fine? ...
2001 Elantra adjustments for short drivers18 Nov 2006 00:44 GMT3
Though I have not been disappointed by the roominess and comfort of the
driver's seat, I have not been able to adjust the position of the
steering wheel or seat to fit my wife's stature (she is under 5 feet
tall).  In order to reach the pedals she sits with her chest almost
06 Sonata V6 cold start17 Nov 2006 23:26 GMT20
Somewhat colder weather has started settling in and my 06 V6 Sonata
(<5000 miles) is doing some new things on a cold start.
Normally it fires up and holds around 1100rpm.   Now, it's jumping
above 2100rpm and holding that for five or ten seconds.   It's
07 SantaFe alignment question17 Nov 2006 15:08 GMT2
This is the SE model, equipped with P235/60R18 wheels/tires.
The rear wheels have visible negative camber, i.e., the tops of the
wheels are closer together than the bottoms.
Is this situation correct for this vehicle?  Are alignment specs
electric window repair17 Nov 2006 03:00 GMT6
The electric rear passenger window of my 2000 Hyundai Elantra is in the
"open" position & I need to be able to close it.  Winter is approaching
& I live in Wisconsin!!!  A friend had her window repaired for the same
thing at a dealer & it cost $400.00!!!!.  I have been unable to ...
P0303 Code Update16 Nov 2006 22:34 GMT9
Plugs and wires have been in service for approx. 10,000 miles.  Reversed
plug 2 and 3, still getting P0303 code only.  Replaced ignition coil, no
help.  Motor runs great off idle through the entire power band, (that's why
I don't think the plugs or wires are the problems).  Gets ...

Sonata top speed?15 Nov 2006 20:48 GMT45
Just curious what the top speed of the V-6 is.
Here in New England there are too many places for the police to hide along
the highways so I've not gone past 90 mph yet.
I certainly don't see why the speedometer can read up to 160.  That is sort
