Front wheel bearing, XG350.  Can it be done without all the special tools?09 Nov 2006 23:00 GMT1
Looking at my service manual there seems to be a number of special tools
required to do a front wheel bearing.  But it also looks like one might be
able to get around most of them.  Anybody ever done one and have advice?  Or
would I just be better off bringing the car in and ...
Noise in 2000 Elantra09 Nov 2006 17:25 GMT3
I have a 2000 Elantra with about 108,000 miles (just out from under
warranty, of course).  The transmission has never given me any problems
and I've had the fluid changed according to the schedule.
The other morning as I was turning into my work, a slight noise started

Ive got a 2002 Santa Fe with 31,000 miles on it, and, its just as tight

2002 XG350 timing belt problems08 Nov 2006 23:23 GMT3
Finally did the timing belt on my 2002 XG350 now that it just turned 90,000
miles.  After about 8 hours of hidden bolts, no access space, and bleeding
knuckles it was finished.  Started right up, ran it around the
block...running good.  Next morning I drive to work.  50 miles.  ...
Rattle Noise 2006 Sonata 4 Cyl.08 Nov 2006 22:15 GMT8
A rattling sound from the dash has started and it happens at all
speeds. I thought it was coming from the radio area, but I really
can't say for sure. Nothing seems to bee loose. Anyone else have this
problem and if so, was there a fix?  It is under warranty so I will
Battery test?08 Nov 2006 21:19 GMT7
My garage has recommended that I replace the 5 year old battery in my
car and avoid failure in cold weather. The mechanic mentioned that it
failed a test twice. At the moment, the car starts admirably and after
topping up with my trickle charger, a cold start is just as good as a

Wobble in car08 Nov 2006 18:11 GMT1
I have a 2003 hyundai accent base model that has a noticable "wobble" at
speeds above 10 km/h.   At about 40 km/h it seems to be the worst, and then
fissles out at highway speeds.   The wobble is really a noticable up-down
movement of the entire car, and is hard to localize it to ...
Resetting Engine code for 2001 elantra GLS08 Nov 2006 18:04 GMT2
My "Check Engin" light came on today. I opened the hood to find that
when i got the oil changed about a month ago, they didnt put the
radiator overfill cap back on so the take was neerly empty. I fill the
radiator up to the correct fill line but the light is on. My thoughts
Can XG350 crank and cam position sensors be tested with multimeter or scope?08 Nov 2006 18:02 GMT1
XG350 ran 50 miles after new timing belt installed, now won't start:  no
spark.  Suspect crankshaft position sensor, but would be nice if I could
verify before replacing it.  The manual shown it as a simple variable
resistor with the wiper being the sensor output and the other 2 ...

A fellow at work bought a 200 Sonata V-6 for his wife.  After about 7000
miles, she decided it was too fast for her and the traded it for a 4

Her complaint, it seems, it that the throttle is too sensitive and it takes

I need to replace the front rotors and pads on my 2001 Accent. The
rotors are rusted and the pads have 25% remaining. Do I get stock
parts or are there better after market rotors which will resist rust?
