I am having a rather large problem with my Elantra. I already know my alternator is bad but that isn’t why I’m posting this here. I took the battery out of my mom’s Accent to put it in my Elantra because my battery is dead and when I did this I noticed my problem.

I inherited a 2001 Hyundai that has been sitting in an upstate New York driveway since February 2002. The car has 3/4 of a tank of gas. Nothing was done to it before it was stored i.e. gas stablizers, etc. What needs to be done before the car is started & put into use?

It seems that the Elantra’s headlights need to be replaced too often. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems that I’m replacing one every year on both mine and my Mothers. Thanks.

Car has 42k on it. 5 weeks ago after car sat all night went out to find park lights flashing slowly in time to a relay I could hear clicking under dash. Battery was about dead. Had car towed to dealer. Dealer shop said battery was bad and replace under warranty.

Oh crap..... I installed a new timing belt along with water pump, serpentine belt, etc...... and after it was all together read an article someone posted mentioning that they thought that the arrows on the new belt should point to the front of the car........ I hope not....... if ...
