For the second time in 6 months or so my wife has stopped the car to
pick up the mail, and found herself locked out.  Fortunately its
happened there, for an extra set of keys is just a quick walk away.
Our locks are set to lock at about 12 mph or so.  Anybody offer up how

Sonata Keys06 Jan 2007 23:23 GMT2
Has anyone been able to get a spare key made for the new Sonata other than
the dealer?  I think he knows that he has the only blanks in town, that's
why he wants $30 for one.  No it doesn't have a chip in it so that's way
over what it should be.  One for my 2003 was 3 or 4 bucks. ...

2002 Hyundai died04 Jan 2007 19:22 GMT10
My 2002 Sonata was giving me no trouble at all, but recently it died
as I was driving it, as if I had turned it off. It won’t restart, and
just clicks if I turn the key. All accessories work. My mechanic says
it’s internal in the engine and he can’t get it to crank either. I

Variant on Headlight Question04 Jan 2007 06:19 GMT4
I have an '02 Elantra.
I have learned that the O.E.M. headlights on Hyundais and Kias will not last
all that long, usually less than two years (no problems with other bulbs to
date other than the low beam headlights).
2002 Elantra, headlight alignment04 Jan 2007 04:19 GMT12
I have a 02 Elantra that I purchased about 1 1/2 months ago. The
headlights are all over the place. Where are the adjustment screws to
adjust them? I have looked all over but cannot find anything.
Thanks, Rob
High RPM on 2000 Elantra04 Jan 2007 03:17 GMT2
I have 2000 Elantra. After sitting approximately three hours engine will
always rev up to 3000 RPM and climbing. I always press lightly gas
pedal, increasing RPM even higher, forcing the engine computer to
"reconsider" idling RPM. Normally, RPM is around 1500 and dropping to

hmaservice access03 Jan 2007 13:46 GMT7
Does the hmaservice site work with IE 7.0 - it will not accept my
password and when I try to create a new account it just keeps opening a
new login window.  It used to work with IE6, but since automatic
