| Transmission Problems Automatic | 30 Apr 2007 21:31 GMT | 13 |
1998 Hyundai Elantra. Suddenly with no warning lost reverse and all forward drive over 35 mph. Will pull forward but if you try to accelerate it will act like in neutral. Fluid level is good. No odd smell or discoloration to the fluid.

| Dealer recommended services.... | 30 Apr 2007 21:00 GMT | 14 |
I got this in my email a couple of days ago.... It seems like they are repeating some of the "services" by wording them differently. They don't even include enough oil. They HAVE to know it needs six quarts... don't they?

| 2000 Elantra Transmission | 30 Apr 2007 16:44 GMT | 15 |
So, I have this 2000 Elantra with 110K miles, and the transmission just went out. No reverse..... So, I take it to the dealer - where I bought it from - and bang - NEW transmission $2,350. What kind of a crock is that???

| 2006 Sonata brakes | 29 Apr 2007 00:52 GMT | 12 |
I hit 22,000 miles just last week on my '06 Sonata GLS V6. Today I was driving around my campus at work getting some coffee with the window open and heard a noise that sounded like the brake wear indicators. It only happened on right-hand turns. I figured maybe some debris got ...

| Map lights don't go on when door opens | 28 Apr 2007 20:31 GMT | 2 |
I was told by the dealer that Hyundai will have a kit soon that will allow the dealer to "fix" the problem my 2007 Santa Fe has, i.e., the overhead map lights don't go on automatically when the door is opened. Does anyone know if the kit is available yet to dealers? I was told ...

| 2005 XG350 oil question | 27 Apr 2007 19:56 GMT | 4 |
I live in Peoria AZ. In the summer I have seen it hit 110-115 regularly. I am planning to do my oil changes. I note in the XG350 2005 owner's manual it recommends 5W-20 or 5W-30. With our summer temperature extremes I wonder if 20W-50 would be more

| Remote door lock confirmation | 27 Apr 2007 08:41 GMT | 3 |
When I lock the doors of my 2007 Santa Fe remotely and press the key fob button twice for confirmation my horn blasts quite loudly. I would definitely prefer a chirp or soft horn blast. Does anyone know if this confirmation sound can be programmed by the dealer

I'm getting ready to have the timing belt replaced on my 2003 Sonata V6 (2.7). Is there any thing else in there that I should replace at the same time? thanks

| transmission fluid change | 26 Apr 2007 14:53 GMT | 12 |
How often do i need to have my transmission fluid changed on my 2002 accent? I got it done around 40k and now I am at 75k... do I really need to do this? or was the dealership ripping me off? I have had all other maintaince (60k did NOT include the transmission flush)

| First oil change | 26 Apr 2007 00:49 GMT | 16 |
Went back to my dealer today to get my free oil change on my 2007 Sonata I4. The invoice shows that they used 10W40 oil. The manual states 5W20 recommended with 5W30 and 10W30 being optional, nowhere does it say use 10W40. The invoice shows 4 qts and the manual says 4 1/2 so I ...

| 2001 Elantra oddness. | 25 Apr 2007 13:22 GMT | 5 |
So here's my situation. My '01 elantra is running rough again. It stumbles at idle and at any rpm below about 2500. This started last December. I had the code read, and it showed a cylinder 3 misfire. Because it was going on 120k miles anyway I

| digital clock, interior light, fog light not working... | 24 Apr 2007 02:44 GMT | 2 |
Hi, I've got a Hyundai Accent 2002. I recently removed the radio and fitted another. Now the fog light, digital clock, interior light, boot light and door open warning light on the dash all don't work. I've checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok. Anyone got any idea

| 2004 Hyundai Sonata FOG LIGHTS | 23 Apr 2007 22:23 GMT | 1 |
Any way to have the Sonata's FOG LIGHTS work independent of the head lights? I saw in Athens Greece - Sonatas used in the Olympic bike races as support crews with only fog lamps on. Is there any simple tweak?
