How to detect worn constant-velocity joints?18 Sep 2007 17:58 GMT1
I was told that constant-velocity joints start making noise when the

When I use the remote to lock the car doors, the rear passenager door

It also sometimes makes the noise when opening the doors using the remote.
Compared to the normal click as the doors lock, the buzzing is ...
02 accent with shimmy18 Sep 2007 00:29 GMT1
I had the axles replaced at 130,000 miles and sometime after that I noticed
a slight shimmy/shudder while under acceleration at about 23 miles an hour.
Any ideas? The vehicle has had reasonable maintenance and is in great
shape otherwise. Motor mounts, a bad replacement axle?

I had a chugging motion in my vehicle the other day, and discovered
from a code reader that it was something to do with my second

of oil in and around the spark plug threads. I'm also burning oil like

I am going to replace the steering wheel audio controls on a 07 Azera to

I recently purchased a 2004 sonata ad just noticed that someone must have
tapped my rear bumper in a parking lot.
I was very surprised to see that the impact caused the plstic flex on the

Checking for collision damage12 Sep 2007 00:59 GMT1
This morning, my 2001 Accent was rear-ended by another Hyundai, an
XG350. This was a relatively low impact rear offset crash, bumper to
bumper, with the only visible damage being the scratches on my
bumper. I'm inclined to just forget about it -- this 6 year old car
Elantra 92: the tachometer runs intermittently11 Sep 2007 13:40 GMT2
When the tachometer runs, it seems to display correct values.
This leads me to hope that the tachometer is not defective but that
the speed signal does not reach it due to an intermittent contact
between the tachometer and the device that generates the signal.
1999 Elentra Auto Tranny-How many quarts for drain/fill?09 Sep 2007 18:18 GMT1
I drained the auto transmission since I was replacing the axles, and was not
sure how many US Quarts to put in. I suspect that the 7 quarts listed in the

full with only that many quarts. I would like to ...
