plastic08 Sep 2007 22:45 GMT1
I have 207,000 miles on my car which I bought new and it runs good.. The
problem is the plastic door handles have broken. off. I live in Florida
and at the dealer they were pretty expensive. So I looked on the web and
found them for half price at www.bigdaddyautoparts.com
Routine maint and Hyundai warranty Q?08 Sep 2007 17:19 GMT2
I've recently purchased TWO 2007 Santa Fe's and I've had both in for their
initial service (not at the same time).  According to the work order they
only performed routine LOF and fluid check services.
However, each service took them 1 1/2 HOURS!

i went to dealer to get oil change and air filter change.  i ended up

Need advice - 2001 Elantra GT - auto transmission only uses 2nd and 3rd gear -08 Sep 2007 10:35 GMT8
My tranny operates normally when the car is first driven for 20 mins to an
hour. Normally it will then be parked for 3-4 hours. When I start driving
then, the check engine light will come on soon after starting to move and
only 2nd and 3rd gears are available.
Hyunditech - 30,000 mile Check-up08 Sep 2007 00:12 GMT25
So my dealer wants $500 for the 30K service!!  The service includes an Oil
Change, Air Filter, Fuel Air Filter and Coolant Flush but it DOES NOT
include the supposed required Transmission Flush, which is an extra $150.
The Hyundai web site and manuel does say a Transmission Flush ...
where to hide a key under 2007 Santa Fe07 Sep 2007 22:36 GMT5
As the subject states... any suggestions where to place one of those
magnetic key holders to hide a spare key somewhere under this SUV?
Most anywhere I could reach seemed all plastic clad - hence, not
magnetic.
brake shims on 03 elantra07 Sep 2007 22:34 GMT1
since the shims ore only distorted on the one hole (there are two holes
that hold the shim), I took the shim off the left side and swapped it on
the other side and vice versa!!  Now can use the disc pads a little
longer, they are in good condidtion with 39000 miles
attn Hyundaitech: 02 Sonata GLS "Output Speed Sensor"06 Sep 2007 17:26 GMT1
I got my timing belt changed out today and used the Gates belt you
recommended. All went smoothly. Thanks. The service manager noted that
I needed to get my Output Speed Senor fixed. The thing is, when I had
my trans flushed and serviced by the dealership about 5500 miles ago,
Ping HyundaiTech :  Drive Belt06 Sep 2007 14:04 GMT5
My 2002 (2.7 ltr) SantaFe Manual says to replace the Drive Belt at
75,000 miles ;   when would you suggest having this replaced based on
mostly city driving ?  I cant see pushing it and risking breakage.
Thanks, Dave.
Rear Drum Adjustment 2002 Elantra06 Sep 2007 14:01 GMT3
Are the rear drum brakes adjusted by operating the emergency brake?
Thanks
Hyundai Parts Online06 Sep 2007 01:16 GMT10
I noticed last week that the Hyundai Parts Online website
(https://dcs.hyundaidealer.com/customer/index.jsp) has been
taken down. ("THIS SITE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.")
It was up and running as of late May, and was always very
02 Accent No Start05 Sep 2007 17:22 GMT2
Have had an intermittent no start with a 02 Hyundai Accent 1.5L for
about six months. Originally the problem would occur once a week like
clockwork, then went away for awhile and lost its predictability. The
fuel pump runs, the engine cranks but doesn't start. It cranks
for hyundaitech... intermittent wipers work, now cruise is out04 Sep 2007 21:21 GMT4
I took apart the dash console and replaced the time and alarm module
which fixed the intermittent and wiper parking problem but after
reassembly I tested all the controls and now the cruise doesn't work.
Before I dig back in, I'm wondering if the time and alarm module has any
$$$ Timing belt04 Sep 2007 18:08 GMT6
What are folks paying to replace the timing belt on a Sante Fe? Are
you all replacing water pump at the same time?
Thanks.

Check Engine light lit on 2001 Tiburon04 Sep 2007 17:59 GMT1
The check engine light is staying lit on my 02 tiburon, had the tech check
it out and he said it was the fuel sensor and it wasn't, said it could
possibly be the ECM which costs a boat load of money, so figured I would get
another tech to check it out, that was three months ago ...
