Warranty Exclusions07 Jan 2008 12:43 GMT12
I have bought Hyundai for over 10 years, I liked the 5 year
warranty. However, there are exclusions I was not aware of (my fault)
and I think it is time to move on to another brand.
The other day, my son took his Elantra in because of a water leak.
Sonata Radio Replacement07 Jan 2008 03:38 GMT12
I own a 2006 3.3L Sonata, and the radio unit is a 6CD changer type with an
externally amplified system.
The car is UK spec meaning that a US version of the radio will not work.
I got the car Jan 2007, and the radio is not RDS and will not play MP3 cd's.
Poor MPG07 Jan 2008 00:14 GMT4
I have two Hyundai cars. One is a 2000 Elantra wagon, and the other is a
2001 accent. I am only getting around 20 MPG on BOTH cars in combined
city/highway driving. I keep up with the maint. on both cars. What can I do
to improve them. They were both getting good mileage when I ...

Will not pass Smog test after new battery04 Jan 2008 19:27 GMT4
I had just replaced my battery in a 2003 Elantra...everything went well
until I brought it in for a Smog test inspection in Nevada. It did not pass
stating that the following monitors were not ready

changing Elantra battery04 Jan 2008 17:21 GMT1
I bought a new battery for my '01, but as I prepared to replace the old one
I see a bolt coming up out of the positive terminal connection. Is this
actually threaded into the terminal? Did I need to get a "threaded
terminal" battery? This is only on the positive side - the negative
New Tires for 07 Elantra SE04 Jan 2008 12:48 GMT26
I am dissatisfied with the original tires on my 07 Elantra SE (Kumho or
something like that).  On a wet incline, they have an unfortunate tendency
to spin when I start up from a stop at a light, no matter how carefully and
gently I accelerate (a problem I only experienced once in ...
Ping Hyundaitech04 Jan 2008 02:14 GMT6
I posted previously regarding a water pump leak and warranty coverage.
I had the car towed to the dealer ship.  After day one they called to
tell me that the water pump was not leaking but there was a leak and
they were looking to see where.  Today they called and said they found
Elantra wagon03 Jan 2008 03:11 GMT1
Does anyone know when the new 2008 Elantra hatchback will be available

Since I am about to lose all 959 messages on this group (happens every
January 1st, and don't know how to prevent it), let me say "Happy New Year"
to all.
Look forward to tons of new posts in 2008.
