Dear Hyundaitech Stripped wheel stud  '99 elantra28 Feb 2008 18:07 GMT3
Front wheel. Had tires installed a while back. I told them to leave
off the wheel covers so I could repaint them. Went to put them on and
one of the studs just spins with the lug. I have my reasons for not
going back to confront the installer. Is there enough room somewhere
Noise and smell from brake pads28 Feb 2008 17:48 GMT5
I had my front brakes done on my 2005 Santa Fe 3.5L last month at my local
mechanic. Since then the brakes have been making a grinding noise at low
speed (like backing down my steep driveway), and I notice a bad odor from
the front of the car after driving.

Hyundaitech - Scangauge - OBDII connector - arrgh26 Feb 2008 20:26 GMT16
So I thought it might be neat to get a Scangauge to watch my mpg since
I don't have that readout in my plain jane 2006 Elantra.  I go to the
website, it says virtually all cars since 1996, I get excited, read
about the unit some more, get ready to order, and a birdie comes and
Cabin Air Filter26 Feb 2008 18:59 GMT13
Just changed the Sonata  cabin air filter.  Took me perhaps  1 1/2
hour to 2 hours.  Spent alot of that time just tying to figure out the
puzzle of how to get to it.

Fuel Door Release in 2004 Sonota25 Feb 2008 14:21 GMT3
My girl friend's Sonata's fuel door release stoped working.  you push the
button on the door an nothing happens.  I assume its not the fuse becasue
i think the fuse also controls the trunk release and that works fine.  I
tried to investigate the problem on HMA.com but it was...... ...

2006 Sonata Induction Service!24 Feb 2008 15:41 GMT23
I have a 2006 Sonata V6 with approximately 17500 miles on it. I have
been regularly taking it to the dealer for oil changes & tire
rotations etc. When I took it last week the service engineer sounded
quite surprised that I hadn't done an induction service at 15k itself.
2000 Elantra Growling....24 Feb 2008 12:52 GMT17
My daughters car is a 2000 Elantra....it has a distinct growling from the
front while driving, more pronounced when decelerating.  You can pretty much
feel it in the seat of your pants, low rumbly growl....changes with speed.
What am I looking for here ???
AUTO DOOR LOCKS '08 ELANTRA24 Feb 2008 03:01 GMT12
My new Œ08 Elantra doors do not lock after starting or driving a short
distance. Took it to a local dealer that said it was a computer fix and they
would do it for free. After fooling with it for almost an hour he said it
couldn¹t be changed on an Elantra.
Wow! How about that new Genesis!23 Feb 2008 20:13 GMT118
Just saw a commercial during the Super Bowl for the Hyundai Genesis!
Too bad i can't afford to buy one, so i have to settle for the Sonata,
but that Genesis is a beauty!! Hyundai has come a long long long
way!!!
Front wheel23 Feb 2008 18:14 GMT6
During the yesterday's slippery rush hour my son hit the front right
wheel to curb so hard that now is no longer parallel with the other
one, but at about 10 degrees, facing outside.
Is this a very complicated repair, would it require a computer to
2004 Sonata Needs New Clutch23 Feb 2008 18:06 GMT34
2004 Hyundai Sonata, 47000 miles, 4 cyl. Was told by the dealership that a
new flywheel was needed ($1100) and possibly a new flywheel ($1400). No
coverage on warranty because it is considered "normal" wear and tear.
Question, has anyone else experienced as issue like this one ...
Opinions on Hyundai Sonata 2008 or 200723 Feb 2008 14:24 GMT24
I am thinking about buying a Sonata 2008. Nice body style! Has anyone
bought one from last year since the body style doesn't look like it
changed from 2007 to 2008. Any issues with the car and quality? I
remember Hyundai years ago and all my relatives and friends avoided
2001 Sonata Cig/Power Outlet21 Feb 2008 17:01 GMT1
Good Morning,
Hey, I have a strange problem. (Which has just surfaced recently.) The
cig lighter works just fine, but the power outlet has no power. Any ideas?
(The plug is secure behind the power outlet. I checked the fuse, but iirc
