Brake Rotor/Caliper problems....HELP21 Apr 2008 12:27 GMT1
I do not want to ask stupid questions but I have one that might be.  I
am trying to take the front rotors off my 01 Santa Fe.  My first
problem is that the bolts holding the caliper on seem to be seized up.
It is still righty tighty lefty loosey right?   I didn’t know if
Help! Does anyone know anything about smogging their car?19 Apr 2008 04:37 GMT21
Crud. I feel like I'm about to be pouring money down an endless pit.
I went to get a smog check for my 1991 Hyundai Excel. It flunked. The
guy showed me the printout and pointed to where it says the car can only
have a maximum of 847 polluting points, and my car showed 2,559 points,
Latest Generation Sonata18 Apr 2008 18:09 GMT1
Anyone have 100,000 miles on theirs yet?  If so...any problems. I have a '06
6 cyl. with 41,000. Not a single problem yet. Wondering long term
reliability.
I did have the washer pump go out, one minor problem.
Oxygen sensor covered under extended warrenty?17 Apr 2008 17:07 GMT4
Isn't there some extended warranty that covers emission components, possibly
a lifetime warranty?  My vehicle is 7 years old and has 125,000 miles on it
so it would have to be a pretty good warranty for it to be of any use to me.
Thanks

attn Hyundaitech, are these TSBs covered by the powertrain warranty?16 Apr 2008 00:39 GMT1
HT,
The last time I was at my dealership to have my tranny flushed and
serviced I brought in a bunch of TSB related to the transmission
having issues. It would basically rev up high before shifting into 2nd
Sticking Ignition Cylinder and/or Key16 Apr 2008 00:36 GMT9
I am having a problem with my 07 Elantra.  The key will sometimes stick when
I am turning the car off.  No problems when I start the car, but when I turn
the key to OFF and pull it out, it feels as if something is dragging along
the key, and the key kind of "snaps" out rather ...

Warranty Coverage14 Apr 2008 17:26 GMT7
OK, sorry for the ignorant question, but, with regards to Hyundai's nice
warranty (which I assume is valid for many, if not all new car warranties),
I assume that within the warranty period for a car, the cost to replace the
part is free.  You don't pay parts or laber charges.  ...
Windshield Wiper 2004 Sonata14 Apr 2008 17:19 GMT2
I will try to describe this as best as I can. Some of the nomenclature may
be incorrect, so please ask for clarification if necessary.
2004 Sonata (same car with the bad clutch & flywheel from previous post).
On the passenger side front windshield wiper, the arm fits onto a bolt ...
speaking of high mpg autos....14 Apr 2008 06:24 GMT16
Does anyone remember the Chevy Sprint? It was a 1 litre three cylinder car
made by Suzuki. I bought one new in 1987 and drove it for 150,000 miles
before I sold it to a buddy. EPA rated @ 50 mpg. ......and it got every bit
of that. Made a co-workers Justy seem like a RoadMaster. ...
30k+ service questions14 Apr 2008 03:35 GMT9
I recently took my 2005 Elantra into the dealership for its 30k mile
service. However, as I was relocating at the time to a new apartment
and money was tight when they told me it would be $900 I told them
just to change the oil.
2002 Elantra Clutch13 Apr 2008 07:01 GMT2
A while ago I saw instructions to improve the operation of the chutch
on a '02 Elantra. I can not find any referances to the subject now.
Would someone please repost those instructions.
Thanks, Rob
Snow Chains13 Apr 2008 03:35 GMT6
I live in Southern Calf and never have occasion to drive in the snow.
In other words I don't drive up into the mountains in the winter time.
I did not have occasion to take particular notice of an entry in the
owners manual until a long time after I purchased the car new.
2000 Accent GL no spark, so no start12 Apr 2008 16:04 GMT6
My neighbor asked me to help him out
My best guess was to replace the crank sensor, but no luck
Anyone have any suggestions going forward?
Helped him replace the automatic transmission with a rebuild a while
