gas mileage your '05 elantra city30 Jun 2008 20:24 GMT8
i'm disappointed that the gas mileage is 24 mpg, city driving.  in
city driving, i can drive it 285 miles before i need to refuel.  is
that everyone's experience?   i had the tires air pressure checked,
trans fluid flush, air filter replaced.
Verizon has killed access to this newsgroup27 Jun 2008 17:24 GMT6
Well, it appears that anyone who posted in, or read this group that is a
Verizon customer is now toast. Nothing like killing off a very useful
group - yeah, I know there's a bunch of trash in alt.*, but many of the
groups are like this where useful information is passed. Real ...
Air Conditioning Filter26 Jun 2008 12:52 GMT5
To those who do not read the manual. (LIKE ME) I just discovered my 06
Sonata LX has an a/c filter...DAMN it was filthy, I'd say it was almost
clogged. I'll buy a home filter and cut it to size. Dealer wants way too
much for a paper filter.
attn Hyundaitech: Have you dealt with check-engine trouble code P0442 on 2002 Sonata GLS?24 Jun 2008 14:29 GMT5
The local AutoZone plugged their scanner and pulled trouble code P0442
on my 2002 Sonata GLS. The result said it was "EVAP small leak /
no-flow condition:: 1. Defective or loose gas cap, 2. EVAP canister or
hose cracked / not connected, 3. Purge or vent solenoid defective, 4.
TSB - Santa Fe 2007 Front Hub Clearances24 Jun 2008 00:12 GMT9
I bought an early model 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.3 liter that has
the excessive front wheel hub-to-driveshaft clearance problem, TSB
06-50-011, INSERTION OF WASHER BETWEEN FRONT HUB AND DRIVESHAFT.  A
number of other early Hyundai models had/have the same problem.
A quick easy way of getting another 1 mpg +  (HyundaiTech : Your     opinion please..)19 Jun 2008 04:33 GMT2
On my 1998 Chevy Cargo Van,  I took off the fresh air hose for the
filter box so it takes in warm engine compartment air instead of
cooler fresh air (I measured approx. 82 f. incoming engine air on a 70
f day) . Ive ran two tanks of fuel thus far and each showed a 1.5 mpg

General automotive service Q for Hyundaitech18 Jun 2008 16:46 GMT3
You have been most helpful with our Hyundai questions and I have one
for my daughters abandoned Camaro in our driveway. She failed to get
the cooling system fluched and now it is full of gunk.  Is it possible
to attach a pump and flush the system (into a bucket) and filter it

Tire Brands: Good, Bad, Wretched15 Jun 2008 18:45 GMT27
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirebran.jsp
These are mostly/many brands I'm not expereinced with.
I'm thinking currently of Fuzion and Continental as the least
expensive, but ya gets what ya pays for, I suppose,  tho not always.
2000 Elantra Alarm Light and a Draining Battery15 Jun 2008 12:55 GMT6
First, I do not have the keyless entry remote that came with the car, long
gone and as such the alarm has long not been used (like 5+ years not used).
This alarm came with the car when I bought it new from the dealer, had the
Hyundai H logo on the pendant so I'm guessing it's not ...
Another warranty question15 Jun 2008 06:59 GMT1
Engine light is NOT on but I get a scan code.  (Transmission range
switch P0705).  It is not causing any drivability problems that I can
discern.
Should the Drive Train warranty cover this item.
Small oil leak question15 Jun 2008 06:57 GMT3
I am the original owner of a 2000 Sonata GLS.  It has 66,000 miles.
Therefore the drivetrain warranty is still in effect.
I have a small oil leak from the engine.  I say engine because it
doesn't look like trannie fluid.  Some drips on the garage floor.
2003 gas gauge problem12 Jun 2008 05:32 GMT9
I have a 2003 Santa Fe, with the 2.7 V6 engine.
The other day I went out to run some errands.  I had just over 1/4 tank of
gas (I glanced at it when I started).  After I had been driving for about 10
minutes, I was at a stoplight and I saw the "low fuel light" come on.  I
