Ventilation system working worse than normal?18 Sep 2008 14:16 GMT14
I just did my 40,000 mile A/C filter check and found a mouse nest on top
of my filter!  I thought the ventilation had been even worse lately than
normal (as many of you here know, I haven't been impressed with the
Sonata HVAC system even when it was brand new).  I won't post ...

I'm looking to buy a '05, '06 Elantra or depending on price a '07 Elantra.
Is the warranty transferable? Which year did build quality start to impove

03 Elantra steering wheel 'bump"16 Sep 2008 13:47 GMT2
Over last few months, have been feeling a "bump" through steering
wheel or pedals occasionally. When leaving a start, then again first
time brakes are applied. Most noticeable during freeway stop/go-as if
something is moving back on start, then forward when brakes applied.

My sister is buying a 2002 Elantra GLS automatic - supposedly the
proverbial 'owned by an old lady' car with 46k miles and nothing more
than a couple of tiny dings. Since I looked the car over for her, I feel
obligated to find out more about it. (I've got experience with other

I'm wondering how to attack this problem.
Once the car is in park and the engine is switched off

Gas Prices13 Sep 2008 04:18 GMT3
Regular gasoline in NE Georgia just jumped from $3.65 this morning to $4.49
per gallon!!!  Are others experiencing this also?  I've reported the
stations (all the same price at the same time) to the Dept of Energy, for
what it's worth.
2009 Sonata SE security11 Sep 2008 17:51 GMT8

not sure if my valet key is defective, the open trunk switch worked
while the valet key was used, or the guy just dropped the back seat
and popped it open, but I lost a good camera last night while at the
