'07 Elantra:  What is EPS?28 Apr 2009 19:53 GMT4
When I start my '07 Elantra, a light for "EPS" flashes on the lower right
side of the dash.  I can't find anything about it in the Owner's Manual.
Anybody know what EPS is?  Thanks.
Tucson roof rail accessories25 Apr 2009 21:07 GMT1
Hi smart folks!
I've got a 2009 Tucson. It comes with the side rails, but I'd like to
know what I can put on the roof without buying the Hyundai cross rails
and other accessories, which seem far too expensive. Are there any
'07 Santa Fe - Mud Guards--Easy to Install Yourself?24 Apr 2009 21:39 GMT2
I was quoted $75 by the dealer to install mud guards on my 2007 Santa
Fe.  Anyone install the guards themselves?  Is is fairly easy with no
special tools needed?
Thanks in advance!
Good Hyundai Service place near Glen Ellen, IL?21 Apr 2009 12:38 GMT2
My son graduated from college a year ago and is living in the Chicago
suburbs and needs to get the front brakes done (and replace the belts on
the motor, probably) but received quotes varying from $225 - $265.  I
asked him to check to see if they will use OEM brake pads since he ...

My owner's manual says 60,000 in one place and 90,000 in another.  Which

Hyundai Elantra 200819 Apr 2009 14:02 GMT7
Does this car have a torque converter "lock out" at cruising speeds
(like Toyotas do)?  Also, does the engine have variable valve timing and
a timing chain (as distinct from a belt)?  I'm trying to decide between
the Elantra and a Corolla.
"New Elantra"19 Apr 2009 07:08 GMT6
I just bought a 2008 Elantra (11000 miles) and I have some questions.
There appears to be a sensor in the middle of the dashboard.  It looks
like the sensor that my 2001 Prizm used to turn on the headlights when
it got dark.  The lights don't turn on automatically so what is the
Rattle19 Apr 2009 04:54 GMT1
Just had the Timing Belt replaced by the Hyundai dealer. Car is a 2002 Auto
V6 Sonata. Whilst everthing seems to work there is a definite constant
"rattle" which appears to come from both cylinder heads  at the Timing Belt
end. ie around the gear which the belt drives at end of ...
Electrical Prob. '95 Hyundai Sonata, no fire16 Apr 2009 21:56 GMT4
Driving down the road, the winshild wippers went very fast (although
they were off), then the engine failed.
The 100 amp fuse is blown, but now repalced it doesn't blow. Also the
stop light fuse was blown, but when I replace that, the key doesn't
timing belt15 Apr 2009 04:37 GMT18
I just had my car at the dealer's and they recommended that I have the
timing belt changed.  This is a fairly expensive service.  Even though
my car only has 43,000 miles on it, it is six years old.  They
recommend 60,000 miles or six years.  I have to have the tire rod ends

2003 Tiberon, 4 cyl. , auto.      ---       When I come to a stop and
turn off the engine, i hear sort of a swishing noise coming from the
rear of the car for about 3-5 seconds , then it disappears.  My engine

2005 Elantra Question12 Apr 2009 15:44 GMT10
I was rear ended recently and the only damage on my Elantra is that there are "impressions" in the rear bumper from the other car's license plate screws. My question is, can these be fixed or do I need to purchase a new bumper?
I am asking because it was actually a hit-and-run ...
Diesel fuel costs10 Apr 2009 00:40 GMT1
From time to time, the subject of diesel fuel costs has surfaced here and on
other auto forums.  The question is often asked why diesel is more expensive
than regular gasoline.  I just found this info:

Entourage Being Dropped09 Apr 2009 21:27 GMT4
Hyundai has announced that they are going to drop their relatively
slow-selling Entourage minivan, and return to their focus on cars like the
Genesis and SUV's like the Santa Fe and Tucson.
Sales were slow, and anyone who wanted one could (and still can) easily get
2006 Sonata door handles turning dull07 Apr 2009 03:04 GMT3
The door handles and the fairing pieces behind the handles on my 2006
Sonata are turning dull and changing color slightly.  Has anyone else
had this problem?
When I bought the car in 2005, the dealer asked me to bring it back
