I just got some quotes to replace the timing belt on my 2004 3.5L Santa Fe with 41300 miles. Doing this to keep up with warranty. Dealer $740.00 + $100.00 more to replace the water pump. 1st Independent $1025.00 includes water pump

I often see posts regarding timing belt prices. I recently had my belt changed on my 2005 Elantra. I also had a trany drain and fill and my coolant changed. Below is the info on what I paid. Replace the timing belt & drive belts $329.95

My "new" 2008 Elantra has 11,500 miles on it. I just added a slug of Techtron injector cleaner (12 gallon size) to a full tank of gas. How often should this be done? Also - when I do my next oil change would it be a good idea to shift to synthetic oil?
