Sonata Seat Gremlins28 Aug 2009 14:46 GMT2
I'm not crazy. Really. I'm always having to move the seatback on
my 2002 Sonata forward. Never back, always forward. It has  a
power driver's seat.
I seem to remember the guy I bought the car from complaining
Review: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring28 Aug 2009 09:30 GMT1
In a very short time, Hyundai has made an amazing transformation from basket case to the automotive equivalent of a "nice girl" - dependable, easy to live with, and undemanding. But can Hyundai get its nice girls to do tequila shots and dance on tables from time to time? The ...
2004 Sonata; 60,000 mile maintenance22 Aug 2009 21:00 GMT16
A quick question;
I decided to change the dealer I go to for work on my 2004 Sonata.
It's a V-6 cylinder, 2.7 liter, with an automatic transmission.
It's approaching the 60,000 mile maintenance and I called a different
'09 Sonata 6 cyl22 Aug 2009 14:43 GMT4
Time for an oil change.  The last couple were done by the stealer.  No
big on the price.  They charged me $34 out the door.  However I want to
use a different filter and syn oil now, and like I do w/ my other
vehicles, I will change it myself.
oil filter guard?21 Aug 2009 06:52 GMT1
On the XG350 (and Sonata I suspect) there is a small plastic (maybe 6" x 6")
guard that must be removed from under the car before the oil filter can be
replaced.  I assume this is for protection against rocks being thrown up
while driving, but that is only a guess.  On my ...
Pledge for dashboards21 Aug 2009 02:52 GMT3
I have heard that the best product to use on dashboards is Pledge. There
are numerous varieties of Pledge so which is the best one to use?

Question for H.T. - Transmission Trouble12 Aug 2009 21:56 GMT6
I have a Santa Fe with the 3.5L engine with the 5-speed transmission that
takes that world famous Mitsubishi fluid.  Lately, at about 40 mph, my
transmission (which I suppose could also be the differential or even better,
the lock-up torque converter), has been giving me a ...
Rust proofing10 Aug 2009 10:19 GMT8
I live in an area where roads are salted in the winter.  Is rust
proofing a good idea on a 2008 Elantra?

Towing With An Accent08 Aug 2009 15:04 GMT8
I know Hyundai doesn't rate the Accent for towing, at least that I've
been able to discover. Yet you can buy trailer hitches for it. There
are any number of small tent trailers that are advertised as being
towable by any small car and even large motorcycles. One 450 lb unit,
Calling diesel heads07 Aug 2009 00:50 GMT5
My wife has an Hyundai Accent 1.5 Diesel 2002 model.   Shortly after
buying it, it would not start for me when I left work.  I cranked it 4
or 5 times and got nothing.  I went back into my office, left it ten
minutes, went back out and it started as if nothing had happened.
2008 Elantra Jump Start06 Aug 2009 05:10 GMT1
Is jump starting a no no on this car? A co-worker offered her Elantra to
jump start the dead battery in my truck. The cables were connected
correctly. I checked them twice, and my truck started immediately. When the
co-worker tried to back away, the car acted as if it was in ...
120,000 mile service06 Aug 2009 05:06 GMT7
Just took my 02 Hyundai Elantra GT in for 120,000 mile service. Took
it to a highly-regarded shop here in Austin (NOT the dealer). Knew the
price would be high since 120,000 is a major service interval. Also
driving this car 500 miles a week starting mid-August and need it to
Accent O2 sensor help06 Aug 2009 04:58 GMT1
My mechanic told me that the code for the check engine light comes up as
a faulty oxygen sensor.
I have also been told that it is a really easy job. I'm handy with tools
and whatnot, but I have not tackled this particular job before.
2002 XG-350 enging surging problem- high standing idle06 Aug 2009 04:53 GMT2
Hi to all - I have a 2002 XG350 that I purchased new.  It now has
about 131K on it and has been a relatively trouble free car to this
point.  A couple of months ago I noticed that the idle was quite high
while the car was stommed and in gear.  It could probably get to 20
Strange Hyundai Car Noise UPDATE With Better Recording01 Aug 2009 20:31 GMT18
I finally managed to acquire a clear recording of that mystery noise
that I told you about in a couple threads I had here a little bit ago.
The previous recordings, if you remember, were much too muddy to
clearly make out the noise and it was too hard to point it out over
