Operating temp and ac fluctuating29 Sep 2009 10:12 GMT3
My first post to the group, for what that is worth.
My alternator belt broke on my 2001 Elantra. I replaced the
pump (which needed to be replaced) as well as the belts. After the belt
broke I limped along for a few miles which may provide clues as well.
Hyundai introduces 35-mpg Elantra Blue, priced from $14,14526 Sep 2009 16:18 GMT1
In an effort to combat higher fuel prices, not to mention a nationwide emphasis on purchasing more eco-friendly cars, Hyundai has tweaked its popular Elantra sedan to eke out an extra 2 mpg on the highway for the new Elantra Blue trim package. Priced from $14,145 and only ...
Spam in this newsgroup22 Sep 2009 20:26 GMT6
I'd like some discussion about this.
First, in my experience, most people who spam newsgroups nowadays
do so from gmail accounts. Another source has been google groups.
These Google services are a "wild west" because Google refuses to
Help !  I hosed down the engine bay and now SantaFe is running rough     (its been 24 hours).22 Sep 2009 16:53 GMT4

especially noticable at low speed and idle .  I made sure all vaccuum
Cargo cover repair22 Sep 2009 14:10 GMT2
My cargo cover on my 2005 Santa Fe stopped retracting. Are these user
repairable?
A replacement is hundreds of dollars I'd rather not spend right now so any
help you can provide would be welcome.
Elantra Auto Door lock?22 Sep 2009 04:39 GMT3
Does anyone know if the 09 Elantra has auto door lock?  That's where the
doors will automatically lock when you get up to speed.. That's standard
Elantra, not the Touring model.

Just got this code.  What does the Speed Sensor do and where can it be
found on a 2002 Hyundai SantaFe 2.7 engine ?  Many thanks.
DIY brake pad replacement in Elantra disc brakes21 Sep 2009 03:45 GMT5
Time for at least new pads.  Can it be safe and effective to just replace
the pads?  I would think it depends on whether or not the rotors are true
and sufficiently smooth, but is that something I can assess beyond noting
that there is no vibration or pulsation when the brakes ...

If I disconnect the sensor top right of the engine 3 wires, the engine runs
better but still rough.
Elantra 2000, timing belt replacement17 Sep 2009 02:26 GMT7
Hi - I need to replace my timing belt. I want to know if it's very
difficult to do it by myself. I already replaced my timing belt on a
previous car, it was a volkswagen fox. I don't found it much difficult
with the proper tools and information. I need to know if there is
Noisy window motor on Sonata MY200615 Sep 2009 14:09 GMT4
My Sonata has a noisy window motor on driver side.
Months ago I had motor on passenger side replaced for the same reason, and
when I saw it there was only some rust on gear.
Is it sufficient to clean rust on motor or probably I will have to replace
CV boot questions15 Sep 2009 00:20 GMT1
My son has a 96 Accent and the outer BJ boot wasn't ripped but it is
thin enough in a few spots that it was just starting to allow the
