1988 Trooper 2.5 - 4 cylinder engine.  My AC compressor won't engage.
Mechanic at service station says it has plenty of freon (r12) and that it
is an electrical problem.  I checked the compressor wire and it looks OK.
There is an AC relay in the fuse box - could this relay be ...

Electric window problems on 96 Rodeo16 May 2005 04:28 GMT3
I'm thinking I'm going to have to take this to a mechanic, but figured I'd
check here first.  The passenger side window mechanism seems to have broken,
leaving the window in the down position.  I took the door trim off, looked
inside, and I see a couple of cables dangling around. ...
2001 Rodeo  Rear Wheel Bounce16 May 2005 01:31 GMT2
Only 40K EZ driving miles. Shimmy, which is predominantly felt under
the seat is especially pronounced @ 55 & 65 MPH.  Front end checks out
OK and have tried 2 different sets of four new tires and two new rims
for the rear.  Nothing working!!
`93 rodeo 3.2L stiff throttle spring15 May 2005 16:53 GMT14
i've recently aquired this vehicle with 120k and of course there are going
to be problems on a 12 year old vehicle.  if it were perfect, why sell it?
but of all the annoyances, one thing is driving me nuts (this is a manual
trans).  accelerating in small increments is almost ...
97 Trooper Trans Shifter15 May 2005 15:38 GMT3
My automatic transmission shifter has locked(hung)up.  Depressing brake
pedal has no effect.  Thumb button on shifter has zero play (it used to
have a little) and feels as if jammed.  It worked earlier today but won'
t now.
Spark plug torque for '96 Rodeo, 3.2?14 May 2005 14:12 GMT2
Here at work, getting ready to change plugs(um, first time too... 165K*g*
oops)  and the manual's at home.  Being that it's an aluminum head, don't
want to over torque.  What should it be?
Also, any recommendation on plugs to use?  I bought some Bosch platinum, but
Replacing front CV boots on '96 Rodeo...14 May 2005 13:57 GMT2
Hints? Problems? etc?   Need to replace inner and outer.  Front rotors need
replaced, so figured right now while doing that, may as well do the boots
too? How long of a job?  Of course, assuming not too many problems. ;)
