With the engine off, how come I can turn on the rear fog lights
independently from the front fogs when the master light switch is set
to headlamps but not when it is set to sidelights?

My wife went out to drive my ;94 XJ6 4.0L this morning and came back in

offered to sell his 1995 XJS Covertable(6 cylinder) to me for $8000
(US funds).  The car has been recently tuned up, and is in great
shape.  The car has 60k miles on it.

I've got an '88 XJS V12 that has started to make the strangest groaning
sound at cold startup (cold days below 40 degrees F).  The sound lasts for
maybe 2 minutes tops.  It goes away under pressure (if for example I
accelerate in gear) but returns when I back off on the pressure.  ...

My battery discharges if it's left connected to the wiring harness in
about 36 h.
