| Heat in an XJ40 | 18 Feb 2004 20:34 GMT | 4 |
My owner's manual shows hot air (i.e. red arrows) coming from the centre console vents on my 1990, 4.0L, straight six, US (--as opposed to Canadian--) version. The Jag shop here in Ottawa, says it is a mis-print; no hot air is

| Bad year late models ? | 17 Feb 2004 19:17 GMT | 1 |
I'm considering a 98-2000 XJ and would like some info about the breed. I test drove one car that had a new engine installed in November 03 because the old one 'died' according to the seller. Browsing autotrader, I found someone with another dead engine. Is this common, and if so, ...

| X-Type, What's The Truth | 17 Feb 2004 16:07 GMT | 2 |
Come on then, I've read the press articles, watched to TV, is the X-Type any good, does it have problems, or is it an excellent car for the money ? Experiences from people who actually have one would be of great benefit. Any problems so far.

Got a million questions but will settle for three or four. My Kat is a 1996 XJ6 and I went to Nashville,Tn Saturday and drove rather hard and fast, as safety would permit on the interstate. Car run smooth as glass, got 23 MPG on the trip, great.as I got home, was almost to the red ...

It's the first time I write in this forum. I am a regular poster in es.charla.motor, the spaniard car-lovers newsgroup. I have now an opportunity to buy an '8something (cannot remember now of the year) XJ40, nice-looking, not too expensive.... too good to be true?

| Hello, and HELP! | 12 Feb 2004 19:28 GMT | 13 |
Greetings Jag lovers (+and Jag love / haters) In a fit of possible madness, I today purchased a 1990 XJ-S 3.6 Auto. 66300 miles, few owners, seems like a niceish car, besides it was CHEAP! Unfortunately the words "cheap" and "Jaguar" are mutually exclusive, which

| Heating fan in a xj 40 | 12 Feb 2004 12:58 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1988 xj 40 that has a interior fan that won't turn off or slow down. It will turn off when the switch is in the off position, but in turning the dial on the console from hi fan to low fan there is no effect. It just keeps lumbering on. Very annoying. Anyone have experience ...

| Service for XJR | 09 Feb 2004 20:07 GMT | 4 |
Can someone please recommend a reliable dealer or independent specialist within the M25 area. I've tried Clive Sutton in North London which has now been taken over by HRO and I'm not too impressed by their work and attitude. Thanks in advance

| FS: JAGUAR XJC 4.2 | 09 Feb 2004 20:04 GMT | 1 |
For only ?1,000 you can buy my Jaguar XJ6 Coupe. In dry storage, this is a very rare (original) Manual/Overdrive model with factory fitted air conditioning. It needs renovation in the usual places (sills, boot floor, etc), but has never been pulled apart and has a very straight line ...
