My owner's manual shows hot air (i.e. red arrows) coming from the
centre console vents on my 1990, 4.0L, straight six, US (--as opposed
to Canadian--) version.
The Jag shop here in Ottawa, says it is a mis-print; no hot air is

I'm considering a 98-2000 XJ and would like some info about the breed. I
test drove one car that had a new engine installed in November 03 because
the old one 'died' according to the seller. Browsing autotrader, I found
someone with another dead engine. Is this common, and if so, ...

Come on then, I've read the press articles, watched to TV, is the X-Type any
good, does it have problems, or is it an excellent car for the money ?
Experiences from people who actually have one would be of great benefit.

Got a million questions but will settle for three or four.  My Kat is a 1996
XJ6 and I went to Nashville,Tn Saturday and drove rather hard and fast, as
safety would permit on the interstate. Car run smooth as glass, got 23 MPG
on the trip, great.as I got home, was almost to the red ...

I'm looking at getting the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. No driving in snow,
some in rain (near SF Bay area). Anyone with experience or suggestions?

In a fit of possible madness, I today purchased a 1990 XJ-S 3.6 Auto.
66300 miles, few owners, seems like a niceish car, besides it was CHEAP!
Unfortunately the words "cheap" and "Jaguar" are mutually exclusive, which

I have a 1988 xj 40 that has a interior fan that won't turn off or slow
down. It will turn off when the switch is in the off position, but in
turning the dial on the console from hi fan to low fan there is no effect.
It just keeps lumbering on. Very annoying. Anyone have experience ...

I think the hard top XJS don't look 'Jaguar like', but the soft top captures
the mood of the jaguar

Can someone please recommend a reliable dealer or independent specialist
within the M25 area. I've tried Clive Sutton in North London which has now
been taken over by  HRO and I'm not too impressed by their work and

For only ?1,000 you can buy my Jaguar XJ6 Coupe. In dry storage, this is a
very rare (original) Manual/Overdrive model with factory fitted air
conditioning. It needs renovation in the usual places (sills, boot floor,
etc), but has never been pulled apart and has a very straight line ...

   Does anyone have a pair of reasonably priced front wings for an XJS -
1987 V12.
