The car is in Connecticut. I have had to travel extensively for the last seven years and was not able to run it as much as I used to. As a result, my last attempt to start it has me conviced that the carb floats are gummed up.

I have an 88 V12 XJS 5.3 auto which has been running great until yesterday. Whilst driving home it suddenly started to rev whilst in gear at 60 mph and then no acceleration. When my speed dropped down to about 20 mph it started to drive again but won't change gears. Its now stuck in ...

Weimer, Welcome to the scene, it's a fun one. I baught my first Jaguar a couple years back, an '83 XJ6. Loved it and figured I'd keep her stock forever. 1 year later it was time to take her in for a valve jod, #3 exhaust was tapping. They said $1200, I said %$@#*&!!!! ...

I bought a new motorhome and I want to tow my '94 XJ6 behind it. I'd like to hear some advice on what methods will work. Four down with disconnected driveshaft? Flatbed trailer? Dolly trailer? Aftermarket rear pump on tranny?

I've a Jaguar XJ6 from 1995. This has stand still for about 5 years. I've a problem with the steering at both sides when the engine runs stationary. Steering is very heavy than!! I've already changed the oil, but it is much heavy then before.

I have a 1988 jaguar xj6 and the oil pressure gauge starts out midway when first started, then as the car warms up and is idle the temperature gauge goes down to zero, then back up again when the car is moving. Would this problem be related to the oil pressure sending

My X-type (2.5 SE manual) now needs a new set of front tyres (205/55/16's) Anyone got any info on what grips the best (in the wet especially) and is the quietest It has p6000 POWERGY's on at the moment and they seem ok, but got noisier

I have a 1988 jaguar xj6 with about 164k on it. The oil temperature gauge goes up to normal range when you first start up the car, then when you start driving and stop the oil temperature goes all the way down, then back up when you start driving again.

It's that time again, after spending aeons of time doing loads of little jobs to the XJ-S, I've got to the point where I can't be arsed anymore. [1] Spec of the car for lurkers etc '91 "H" XJ-S 3.6 Sport Automatic.

Had my '97 XJ Sport for a few months now (first real Jag experience - previous car was a company "X" Type) and loving it. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be long before it needs some new boots. 225/55 16s. Some of the prices I've seen scare me!
