Newbe Questions18 Apr 2004 00:42 GMT1
I'm new to the vintage Jaguar world and was just wondering is it possible to
swap out the borg warner model 8 to a Jag 4 speed? Also are there conversion
kits for doing. By the way this is for 1968 XKE 2 + 2.
Thanks in advance.
1988 jaguar xj 6 "No heat"17 Apr 2004 05:41 GMT2
I purchased a 1988 jaguar xj6 that was sitting outside for a year
without being run.  The panel has all the lights illuminated on it and
it sounds like the motors are coming on but it doesnt blow any air at
all.  When the car is driving on the road you can feel heat coming out
XJS Space Saver Spare Wheel17 Apr 2004 03:14 GMT3
I'm about to install an LPG conversion in my XJS, which involves sacrificing
a considerable amount of boot space for the gas fuel tank.  The spare wheel
is the first thing which has to go, but it was never much use anyway; the
spare is a Jag 5 spoke, but the car is fitted with 16" ...

I am probably going to buy a car from 1999 or 2000 during the next week or

I would like if someone would pass a word or two about this car.
Any troubles, good things or just smalltalk, I appreciate anything.

A few questions about a new 3.0 X Type13 Apr 2004 00:26 GMT1
Had my 3.0 X-Type automatic for a month and, for the most part, I'm
very satisfied.  Love the looks inside and out, first and foremost.
The performance isn't too bad either.  A few questions though:
* I'm noticing a squeaky sound coming from underneath when driving on
"Leaper" hood ornament10 Apr 2004 21:41 GMT12
I just spent a week in Rome, where I saw many Jaguars.  I have an S-type here
in the US, and it has a "leaper" hood ornament.  Most of the S-types I saw in
Italy didn't have one, and looking at Jaguar's website it seems as though they
only put these on the US cars.  Does anyone know ...

X-Type Seats08 Apr 2004 04:24 GMT5
I just got my new X-Type...first time buyer.  After 300 miles I notice the
seats are very narrow and the edge of the driver seat cuts into my butt.
What have the owners of this model done to alleviate the soreness?  Is there
a fix?  Does the seat break-in a little bit?
Speedometer sender interface - XJS08 Apr 2004 03:35 GMT1
Hi fellow jag fans
I am in the final stages of converting my 85 XJS HE to manual transmission
and I need to pick someones brains on how to sort out a speedometer.
I have fitted a Getrag box out of a 3.6 (which I wouldn't recommend to the
